>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

There is a misconception that TA is used to analyze how the market is moving in regards to the general public buying and selling and responding accordingly. When in reality people who know how to use TA use it to follow any big moves made by players that have a lot more information about something compared to the general public. It's basically looking out for people on the inside going balls deep and following accordingly because something big is probably about to happen.

Maybe hold it until they inevitably cut their divs. What you really need to do though is diversify. You should have bought SPHD if you wanted divvies instead of some shit real estate firm. As for the disney, it will probably be fine although I'd personally never invest in disney because it pisses me off what they did to Star Wars.
Also, you should buy some safe index funds such as VTI and maybe some bonds to balance out your portfolio.

Altria investing in CRON is the deal of the devil and the Devil always makes money. Altria has been around longer than me and most likely you as well and they aren't going to let their little weed flagship fail.
You need to think of the longer haul rather than the short. In 5 years, one of the weed stocks will be worth 100+ and you can quote and screncap this. It may not be CRON, CGC or TLRY but one of them will make it and all the bears that missed out will have no one to blame but their own ignorance.

Weed has the Media, every post even negative ones all clamor for how weed will prevail and that's what drives these stocks, the math will stabilize once legalization hits more states and countries and when you start seeing CRON at 50 a share, or HEXO at 25 are YOU going to be able to stomach missing out on a pretty obvious good investment? https://www.marketwatch.com/story/molson-coors-tied-cannabis-producer-hexo-raises-433-million-2019-01-30
Coors working with HEXO to produce infused drinks. This is big as obviously budweiser started first this trend and while I myself am not privvy to the weed drink market, if it's anything like the tinctures I'm sure it'll be a hit once legalization pushes.
25 is a given for any weed stock if they have a viable business model, so far TLRY, CRON, and CGC have that. HEXO and AMRS are next in line, ACB and APHA I can't speak to much for but ACB has a greenhouse in the works they should be finishing up soon which should churn profit and generate cash flow.
Hold on HEXO for now and just let it sit, it won't go below 5 for the rest of this month I can guarantee that

Extreme interest to buy up to 10 already displayed. If it refuses to drop further than 8.45, the buying is going to be explosive up to at least 10, at which point there will be a psychologically caused selloff, but it will likely break after some bounces against 10, because this stock is primarily institutionally owned rather than owned by retail investors and gay traders, so muh round number psychology won't be that strong.

Okay you're either really young or retarded or a combination of both and I'm starting to feel bad. Market cap is a rough measure of a company's current value. You were talking about share price in a previous post as if the number mattered. Share price is not an accurate or helpful way to compare companies as the price is dependent on the size of the float, meaning the number of shares outstanding in the market. Market cap = share price x float.

These are the market caps of some of the companies you have mentioned as of today's close (in USD unless otherwise specified):

CRON: $3.508 B
ACB: $7.57 B
CGC: $16.01 B
Tilray: $7.281 B
HEXO: $1.5 B (CAN)

ACB is worth about the same as Tilray right now. CRON is less than half their size. Do you understand why I said share price is meaningless? ACB isn't cheap. There are 998 million shares on the market for the company. That is why the share price is low. Tilray, on the other hand, have only 93 million shares outstanding, which is why their share price is higher.

It's not being pushed probably because it's awakened too many bros already and they need deluded alcoholics to farm babies and get their money. As opposed to mgtows chilling and saving.

I guess the brand name and "apple ecosystem" alone guarantees high revenues, high prices and high profit margins unless we are in a luxury revenue stifling recession when it hits the market.

Thanks for the tip, might buy some AAPL but not now. Maybe in 2020. I think AAPL shares has been overdue for a bleed for quite some time, and it has finally been triggered by lower revenues in their traditionally profitable sectors (even though they are pivoting towards being more of a services company).

I see the being more of a service company and expanding into stuff like this car as bullish for the stock as we come out of the next recession. Whenever that is.

Once the combination of 2nd layer blockchain tech, stablecoins, end to end exchange + payment programs and currency conversions as well as banking support enables it, I think they can compete with netflix with an efficient microtransaction payment model.

Will be possible sometime in 2020, so expecting them to launch it 2021 if they understand how much they can leverage their "ecosystem" network effect to profit from adding this kind of service. Most media content owners will want to be on a default apple app for this. It can also be used to monetize news media in lieu of ads.

People weren't going to pay enough for 5G to be a worthwhile investment anyway. Cell phone bills are already expensive enough and 4G is fast enough. The only thing that could be done is like with 4G where you had to pay for the network to have the phone, and then we'll see Apple, Samsung and LG get wrecked because old phones will be fine, no reason to buy new ones. 5G can only destabilize telecoms in the short term. I'd be more likely to stay away if everything was going smoothly.

In this situation, it is more of punching yourself to punch Huawei/ZTE.
You fucked with ZTE? You are fucking with Cisco, Qualcomm, Google, Intel, Broadcom and TI 's bread and butter (>40% revenue).
Same with Huawei.

But what Trump promised ZTE was that he will let ZTE back into the US market fully if they paid the over 2 Bil in fines,
change their entire senior management to one that is practically henpicked by the United States of America,
leave all their entire company's finances/data/info/code up for regular audits and scrutiny, ensure full compliance with Federal authorities
and use >80% of US-originated tech and suppliers.

But yet the Senate has blocked the settlement, cucking Trump for the lack of a better term, making him look impotent.
That would be the general perception if he were to sign the exec order. He cannot make deals and he is a total muppet.

>We borrow money from China because our politicians run our country like 18 year olds with credit cards trying to pay bills
>They take our manufacturing jobs through supplying cheap labor, boomers complicit
>We give them some of the money that we borrowed them for 'aid' for no apparent reason

Like they killed Spotify with Apple Music or whatever it was? People stick to their staples. I'm also interested to see what kind of content Apple comes up with, I'm guessing less than Netflix but in true Apple style it will all be premiumish content spread fairly thin across different demographics. Not enough to hold interest. Pure guesswork though.

>People weren't going to pay enough for 5G to be a worthwhile investment anyway.
IOT will be a big revenue stream for telecoms with 5G.
>Cell phone bills are already expensive enough and 4G is fast enough.
4G is inefficient and congested already and 4K video streaming is already starting to be a thing.
You're falling for the "640k of ram ought to be enough for anyone" meme.

When 5G hits, it will finally be economical for consumers to have just a 5G plan and several sims for their devices for that same plan instead of also having landline broadband at home. In places that don't already have fiber broadband built out, 5G deployment will be done instead of fiber broadband because it's cheaper for sparsely populated areas and ultimately it will be faster.
Traffic data of the future alone necessitates the transition to 5G.
Do consider that 5G throughput will be higher than current gigabit fiber offerings on a single "line".

Here's the thing though, if China takes over the world it's going to become harder to make money. If you care about America you should accept the sacrifices that are necessary for a trade war even if it is just an attempt that won't last. It is important that we stop bleeding money over there.
>>12689093
I'm not saying that you're wrong, but I think that you're quite optimistic. Also remember that "economic" for people and "economic" for telecom companies is two different things. They can't help themselves, they will overcharge 5G home services. They will also sell people 5G home service in areas with shitty coverage. And honestly people can't tell the difference between 4K and 1080p as much as they think they can. People still buy DVDs. I just don't see it being a big transformation that happens overnight. It's certainly something that we can afford to wait and see on. Also sparsely populated areas are always the last to get these services, I should know I live in a town of about 16k. It's 30 minutes away from downtown Portland and there's only two ISPs for the entire county.

What matters is that they think they can and will pay netflix for the privilege and will set that youtube video to max resolution, because screens and phones are increasingly above 1440p resolution.
>They can't help themselves, they will overcharge 5G home services.
Yeah. Especially in the US. Imo, telecoms are natural monopolies, but governments let these shitters be de facto rent seekers with low to no competition.
>I just don't see it being a big transformation that happens overnight
>Also sparsely populated areas are always the last to get these services, I should know I live in a town of about 16k.
It's already happening in China. I think the US will be lagging maybe a year after many other western countries when it comes to 5G outside large cities unless local governments incentives deployment.
Where I live, Norway, 5G is already deployed in some sparsely populated areas that had no DSL because it's cheaper than deploying DSL. There are some 5G towers some 30 minutes drive away from me a bit more on the fringes of civilization. The next places to get 5G will be the places with no fiber (a bit less sparsely populated areas) and places where 4G is getting congested (dense cities).
