They finally get a period of big growth, big gains, after years of breaking even and now all the employees want wages to cut into their slice of the pie. What is happening though is some companies are offering much higher wages and will be pillaging workers from their competition. This is what will force the owners everywhere to raise wages

because there are a huge number of people willing to work for 16/hr who have a degree.

Instead of just filing I read the files. The bosses soon realised I knew more than half the folk on the job. I offered a proper job. Couple of promotions, then I was headhunted by a manager that left. Pensions admin for 7 years then chucked it for contacting. Had lined up a backing complaints gig. And have leveraged that up to compliance.
