My theory on video games in decline comes from my niece and nephew. They only play free to play games like Supercell stuff or Fortnite.

You can adapt to this. Algo or deliberate manual snipes like that will go for strong concentrations of stops at a particular level. If you undercut that level by just a little bit, you're no longer in that pack of stops and will often avoid getting pushed out on a short intraday movement. I post the dings at market close because a lot of people leave the thread and stop trading when the market "closes". I do trade after hours sometimes but the ETFs I like the most can get wonky so I don't do it as often.

Basically, if you're buying index funds from Blackrock, you're exposing yourself to significant counterparty risk. I personally prefer buying stocks directly instead of getting index funds.

A 30 stock random portfolio gives you most of the benefits of tracking an index, with comparable fees but no counterparty risk. And you can easily do things like filtering out stocks with a rising short interest, or stocks where the CEO makes more than average, both of which improve yields compared to indices.
