Fresh Cut GREEEN beans edition

>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

You deserve a loss. Bulls on this board are literally high on low interest rates and can't see the forest for the trees. You should never listen to anybody (especially Boomers and RH Zoomers). Just see what fundamentals (unemployment rate, deficit spending, debt (personal and institutional), etc is if you are long term. If you are mid- or short-term trader then do TA (yes it works) and keep fundamentals still in mind...why do I even tell faggots that bought into memes what to do, they never listen to the reasonable voice. those hi div things are weird for slinging calls
they adjust a lot of the extremely predictable shit so its not really that profitable. and in this particular case, look at the volume. nil. people dont buy those calls to profit. they do it to exercise later and get more divs for a set price prior to the div. you would have a TOUGH time finding anyone to buy that thing off you after it goes back up, prior to the next div. that is, unless you were able to somehow trick some poor sap here to throw up an ask on it

the options play on those is to sell OTM calls (or ATM if ur feelin brave an dont care about selling 100 of ur shares possibly) against them into the divvie. or you could write OTM puts for a similar effect, with the added bonus to MAYBE be assigned an extra 100 shares for cheep if it wipes out

https://theenterpriseleader.com/2019/01/30/blackrock-inc-decreases-holdings-in-lannett-company-inc-lci.html

>BlackRock Inc. reduced its holdings in shares of Lannett Company, Inc. (NYSE:LCI) by 36.4% in the 3rd quarter, according to the company in its most recent disclosure with the Securities & Exchange Commission. The firm owned 2,789,337 shares of the company’s stock after selling 1,597,340 shares during the quarter. BlackRock Inc. owned 7.17% of Lannett worth $13,248,000 at the end of the most recent quarter.

Idk what blackrock is thinking. Maybe they bought at ~4USD and have some rules about that they have to take profit when it 2x's or something.

Correct me if I'm wrong but won't Natural Gas and Electric companies be making a fuck load of profit from this polar vortex shit? Which in turn ought to impact share prices.

GE will be in a good spot cause I think there BHGE arm services a lot of the natural gas/oil companies.

T Stock forever! MSFT and DIS Forever as well.

First learned TA to trade shitcoins. It worked...for a while until I got justed over and over again. Fundamentals >>> TA every single day. That being said, you can approximate swings, local lows and tops. At the very least you can identify a rally. Sadly there isn't a one size fits everything solution, you have to look what indicators had a high correlation in the past to predict the future (that doesn't mean they will correlate 100% tho). Didn't do much TA on real stocks tho. Trading with just TA will make me pink wojak again, but I like to use it to look for contrarian signals to see if I may be wrong about something.

Good luck mounting an iPhone 8 or Pixel XL on top of an eagle.

The technology inside the devices might be all but identical, but it ultimately boils down to functionality on a practical level. Smartphones are made to do many things, and they are even perfectly fine cameras for a variety of casual uses. But action cams focus on a single task, and they handle that task better than any other device.

TA based swing trading is best paired with a comprehensive risk management strategy. It's not 100% of course, and different approaches often need to be taken for different types of stocks in order to account for their tendencies. For instance, I don't trade consumer cyclicals the same as I trade the dude weed and don't trade commodities the same as either.

I think the main confusion about TA's efficacy has to do with missing the bigger picture. TA is half a trading strategy at best. I would even go so far as to say it's a third of one, with fundamental analysis + news/rumor fishing, and risk management/order structure/cost averaging making up the other two thirds.

Take trading oversold bounces, for example. Not every stock is going to be a good candidate for that. You want a company that is oversold for technical reasons rather than fundamental. Or an imbalance between technical bearishness vs. fundamental weakness. Ie, stock dumped way harder than called for in response to an earnings miss. Recent example of that imbalance I traded/am currently trading is Altria. Altria has problems with decreased tobacco sales, however, they tanked really hard in the market downturn far beyond what should be reasonably expected. They have also diversified in to the dude weed (HOT sector) and vaporizer tech/patents.

Now, I'm not a pro and I'm not rich. This is just my feel on it. It has worked the last three consecutive years, beating the index gains all three.

Least SIRI is cheap. (under $6 per). Now that they have Pandora it'll be interesting to see what happens now. Either they'll do it right and profit will flow in at a record pace or they'll fuck it up and the user base will flee from both Pandora and Siri.

But at this cheap price bagging a few shares just to hold for a bit to see which way it goes is a good idea which if they do it right could payoff down the road.

Thanks fren. I think biggest revelation for me in ongoing learning process was these two: 1. stop losses are your fren, even if they screw you sometimes and, 2. missing out on a gain > losing a bunch of money on a trade you chose wrong. The conflict over stop losses is mainly a difference between short term strats vs. long hodl. Long hodlers tend to either put their stops pretty far below current price action OR forego stops entirely in favor of using the dips to cost average and accumulate cheapies. This is good strategy if your intended hold period is lengthy, a year or more. Not a good strategy if your whole approach is to grab small-medium sized profits over a much shorter period of time.

>>12625670
>some would say all that information is already present in the price action/TA

Maybe over the very long term that's true from a certain point of view. There's definitely something to be said for zooming out to twenty years worth of chart history in log scale and slapping down a trend line. I remember a boomer trader posted a projected 80% retrace for Bitcoin on Twitter during the max fomo period and turned out to be very close using that kind of TA.

why offer an "option" for something thats more shit than the existing one? unless it is to be eventually forced?

and all that aside, i simply dont take his one word posts at face value due to his history with 2ch. this is starting to really feel like a complete rerun of what happened to 2ch when he owned it still (picrel). what i see as a possible outcome is that he forces it via loading the regular incarnation with shit ads like 2ch. also, selling emails has ALWAYS been his scam

Okay so I found it. This was filed on January 29th 2019. I'm actually astonished anyone holding more than 50 dollars of it didn't post about it. Some people on here have a few grand or more. I recall someone having like 9k~.

>On January 29, 2019, MagneGas Corporation (the “Company”) filed a Certificate of Amendment to Certificate of Incorporation (the “Certificate of Amendment”) with the Delaware Secretary of State to effect a one-for-twenty reverse split of the Company’s issued and outstanding common stock (the “Reverse Stock Split”), and the Reverse Stock Split became effective in accordance with the terms of the Certificate of Amendment at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on January 30, 2019 (the “Effective Time”).

spend the $1500 on a stock trading course. once you take it and realize you've been scammed, and money never comes easy, you'll be much better off and you can start over fresh.

I'm sure 8ch@n would eventually be able to scale up to meet the demand. That said, most of it's existing userbase are actually mentally ill.

This place and 4chan in general will die if they make it a "pay site". Who the fuck would seriously pay to post here (site in general)? The things that made 4chan what it is would be gone. There ain't nothing on here (no offense intended at anyone) that's worth paying for. Most of the content (pics, torrents, etc) has been jacked from other places and re-posted so a quick google search could probably turn it up if need be.

it'd be like paying someone to shit in your mouth. Some people will do it, but most people will find someone who will do it for free.

Nigger, why and why did you buy at $17?

I'm sitting on an average of $13.90 right.

absolutely fucking BRUTAL
no one had time to even get out

>I recall someone having like 9k~
ii think that was magnefag, but then iirc he already sold out of it (tho i might be mistaken. i only stop by here like once a week or so)

>I'm sure 8ch@n would eventually be able to scale up to meet the demand
then you must not be entirely familiar with 8gag
it could hardly handle it when the GG exodus happened. errors every other post. granted that was a long time ago and they HAVE scaled up considerably, but if the majority of 4gaggers go THERE, it would be increasing the traffic by a factor of many hundreds. it would be like 2014/15 all over again, with the site COMPLETELY broken 75% of the time

not to mention it would destroy the place, and many of the older users would likely turn on it and try to destroy the place, prolly with a good degree of success given how shit codemonkey is at absolutely everything (tripcode related)

certainly, but as cucked as this site is nowadays, its still one of the only mainstream sites that even MODERATEELY allows freedom of speech. and the destruction it would cause to all other sites that support freedom of speech gives me a sick feeling in my tum tum

ive said it before, but ill say it again:
"imageboards are (((dangerous))) and need to be destroyed"

I just searched the main threads for the last 3 days. I couldn't find anyone mentioning anything, except people asking if they missed our because of the San Diego deal or people saying to buy more.

>>12626296
People definitely had time if they were aware. The stock popped 20% on the 28th. The sites also all say the filing was posted on the 28th, despite the paperwork itself saying the 29th. I'm assuming they post these a day earlier so retail investors can get a heads up??

Also I found a bagholder on stocktwits https://stocktwits.com/LongDonJohnson

oh no I'm quite familiar with the glitches. I was there pretty soon after the exodus. But, like you said, they'd eventually figure it out.

As for the older users, I mean 8pol is literally the greatest cancer the internet has ever seen. If they all stop posting tomorrow it'll be too soon. And with /leftypol/ the less the BO has control over the situation the better. fucking hate that asshole.

8/pol/ IS cancer desu, but it NEEDS to exist, for the same reason that /b/ needed to exist on here all those years ago. its the newfag landing pad.

besides, without it there would be nothing to contain it, and it would seep into all other corners of the internet (more so than now)

>And with /leftypol/ the less the BO has control over the situation the better. fucking hate that asshole.
isnt it that one fat kid?
i know its not the cocksucker anymore
cant really say tho as i dont go on politics boards much. always been more of an /int/fag
