You'll be fine. In future take a close look at two things for ETFs: management fee and dividend yield. Sometimes it's a better choice to go with the ordinary SPY rather than a high dividend version in terms of overall returns.

My strategy right now to spend that $500 typically maybe half swing stocks and half blue chips, I have gotten really lucky with my swing trades, Canopy I made 40% and a couple chinese stocks i'm holding and will probably sell once I feel they are at a top. I funnel all that money to blue chips.

Some Bank (haven't decided which yet)

If people entering a country depresses wages, shouldn't people leaving a country increase wages? But we don't hear about how wages in Latin America are going up, up, up. Nor in Asia (maybe in Africa?). After 10+ years of super low global interest rates and QE, wages and inflation should have increased regardless of immigration.

Yeah it's definitely a balance. In the US at least it's weirdly skewed and hard to study because there are a lot of jobs that pay (and are worth) less than minimum wage being filled by illegal immigrants. But there won't necessarily always be fodder for low-level jobs. We don't have kids in coal mines in the US anymore for instance.
