I'd say it's much harder than stock trading to do well in. However, you can supposedly make larger returns quicker in forex than with stocks if you know what you are doing.
I'm going to stick with paper stock trading until I know what I'm doing.

It's not an investment, forex is pure speculation.
Would not recommend at all, especially for newbies.

Tell that to Warren Buffett and George Soros.

I was under the impression that Buffett stuck with very safe and long term investments.
Didn't he say that he was wary of internet and tech companies because of how hard it is to value them properly?

George Soros is a speculator...speculation is how you make money.

I've seen people make 1000 -1200 a day for months with 4 figures. He made his own indicators and had his computer sound maxed out... so his indicators would wake his ass up at all hours..

and options are more of a scam than forex is...

you are an idiot if you believe. I'm a trader and i know how forex operates. it's a decentralized market where brokers take the other side of your trade. there is no market, it's a bucketshop. do not fall for the con.

Damn. I was just about to ask about options.

Why are they a scam?

Recently the market has been weird. Bad news everywhere with the job reports, QE tapering, etc. Yet the market goes up. You would expect the market to negatively respond but it seems like for now the party continues. How are you all gauging the market? When do you know it's time to pull out?

you can still win at bucketshops
>reminisces of a stock operator

I've looked into forex, it's basically speculation and luck

I've seen reports, one guy turned $1k into $100k in a single week. he had logs to prove it too
