How do I improve my english speaking?

I'm better at writing than speaking. I noticed that most of english speakers use idioms in their speech or casual conversation. Is it really necessary to memorize the common idioms? Also I tend to think before I speak (taking time to translate native to english in my head), hence why my speaking isn't very fluent.

Btw I'm not a pajeet.

By speaking more English. Practice makes perfect.

You improve your speaking skills by speaking. Sounds crazy, but it’s true. The real problem is finding a reason to speak another language regularly.

yes it does, talk to yourself in english, think in english and watch a lot of shows and movies.
i'm a multilingual and in my experience the best way to be fluent in a language is to travel to a country where the targeted language is native, melt into their society and live as if you are one of them.

You can't translate. You have to learn to think in another language to speak fluently. And yes, Americans use idioms like a bear shits in the woods.

Speaking english requires a standard you have to prop yourself to. What kind of "speaking" english do you want? American? British? Australian? These are far limited kinds of english and certainly are varied.

Casual ones...? Like how we are talking in text right now. But what's the difference between those?

>Casual ones...? Like how we are talking in text right now.
What I am trying to say is, "Casual" highly reliant on a number of factors.
Casual for the red part of this image is different from casual in the yellow part, and that is just in America.

In another note of personal preference, take this data 4chan collected:
>Age: 18-34
>Gender: ~70% male, ~30% female
>Location: United States (47%), United Kingdom (8%), Canada (6%), Australia (5%), Germany (4%), France (2%), Sweden (2%), Netherlands (2%), Poland (1.5%), Brazil (1.5%)
>Interests: Japanese culture, anime, manga, video games, comics, technology, music, movies
>Education: Majority attended or currently enrolled in college

I basically read the text here in a simulated element of a mid-adult male(born late 90's) from north-east United States(based on a population density heat chart).
