Curiously their lowered price target still represents an upside from current SP of over 30%. I bought when price range flattened about 30 minutes ago at a bit mor than -10% intraday. Stop loss set for immediate exit if new low of day happens. It's bouncing a little already. No plans to hold overnight on this. It helps that there is a pretty well written pump article on Seeking Alpha as response to the Wells Fargo shitpost.

4. Fill your watch list with blue chips. Big companies with big sales, and preferably, big net income. Preferably ones actively expanding. Think: Visa. Yes, it's not exciting. But there are plenty of other blue chips that offer more thrill, if that's what you're after.
5. Invest in few of those. Don't speculate. Don't search for quick massive gains - it's not a casino, and if gamble is what you're after - well, that's what you get. Invest - don't gamble. It means, choose the surest bet.

Stick to it. As boring as it sounds, it does make money if done right. And if you want some thrills, you can set aside few grand, and speculate with that.

If they miss earnings, expect the gains in semis of today to be wiped out and more, at least for those who are players in commodity storage. Can be used to play on volatility in postmarket and tomorrow.

It seems like investors misunderstood today's news as bullish for semiconductors in general when they were in fact bearish and neutral. AMAT and Lam Research profits indicate too high capex for fab players, leading to an extension and deepening of Flash and maybe DRAM oversupply. Xilinx earnings is not a barometer to gauge general demand for chips, but was treated like that anyway. It is likely that Xilinx simply ate into Nvidia AI marketshare with its newer products instead of it being indicative of a TAM increase.
