The people who make the decisions that will make smart contracts real and LINK a success aren't tech nerds. They aren't autistic and they don't give a shit about transfer and call.

This will happen when there is a phrase, analogy or other easy way of grasping what LINK actually is and what it can enable.

Business and interpersonal interactions will be increasingly between digital representations of these respective entities. To that end allowing digital agreements to interact in a way that is reliable and not prone to manipulation is revolutionary.

"Trustless" is a terrible term. It implies that the environment is non trustworthy. It makes sense to autistis, but turns off the normal people who run the world. From here on out we call smart contracts "Tamperproof Trust Environments" TTE's and we call LINK "The Trust Asset"

Come at me faggots

This. Bunch of 4channers tried to force it as /ourcoin/, during the presale ico phase of chainlink there was a minimum requirement of 300eth to enter the presale. Bunch of anons pooled up together and shared presale links to fill them with their eth. Coin continued to get shilled and pumped up and hyped for the sibios event that link was attended, whole event turned out to be a flop chainlink had a presentation in a room of like 18 people next to the public toilets, literally no news or partnership came from the event and the coin dumped back to below ico prices and created 1000's of bagholder anons. Now during this alt bull run lots of anons and took advantage of this and shilling this coin to all the new money and newfags that joined in december and don't know this story. The coin is HEAVILY manipulated and the supply is dried up from huge whales who accumulated below ICO price to create a artificially lower supply (a lot like REQ) and these people have so much room to dump on all of you faggots to still be in profit when the time comes. In regards to actual project that chainlink aiming to achieve it's nothing more than a basic json parser for smart contracts, would take like a day to add to ethereum by itself.. literally making links whole concept pointless and definitely no need for a token. Would take a lot longer to get it working with bitcoin but the bitcoin core devs would be able to work out the solution a lot quicker than chainlink will, think that's something worth noting that literally nothing is completed and you're literally just buying a whitepaper, they have only 2 developers and they don't communicate at all with no proven background on either, in fact sergey was involved in a project before chainlink called NxT that he since been abandoned until it was took over by a new developer team

God damn this FUD is brought up so much and everytime its answered people just say "Nope not sufficient enough" despite the answer from Thomas being more then sufficient enough on a technical standpoint.

STOP. Think logically. Think financially at this point. The team owns 2/3 of the supply. This is their shot at Zuckerberg money. Imagine a company holding an IPO and generating 32 million USD from it and then abandoning their stock and switching to another one, completely fucking over their shareholders and completely abandoning the assets they held in their previous shares.

Does this sound like a logical course of action? Just stop and think for a second why the fuck would a company ever shoot itself in the foot like that?

Listen closely. The network needs a token in order for nodes to have a financial incentive in contracts to prevent sibyl attacks. I hope we can both agree on that. Why the fuck would they hold them self at mercy by issuing a stable coin knowing full well their project would be riding on the success on that stable coin, ESPECIALLY with the shady dealings going on with these stable coins.

The network needs a token that is separate from the rest of this market. The network cannot rely on any other project for success except for the success of its own token. There is nothing stopping someone from creating an offchain adapter to automatically swap your link token to a stablecoin but the network will still be handling payments under the chainlink token.

God, like just imagine the network having to account for 10 different stable coins, 22 methods of FIAT payments, and 220 different Crypto currencies. Because this sounds like an AMAZING way to run a network?

Why is this so difficult for brainlets to understand? They never will get it. Anytime someone answers this they say "NAH FUCK THAT EXPLANATION NIGGA NAH!" like why the fuck do I even bother at this point to reiterate this when brainlets just dont get it.

All of you that think Chainlink will be used as a (((whitelabel))) are deluded. Why would the financial and technology industries invest funds into a simple json parser and slap a new name on it, when they can have their dev team set one up in under an hour? Chainlink is a failed project. The only thing the Chainlink team did correctly was identify the oracle problem, but their solution is unorthodox and unreliable. If one node goes down, they all go down. Not to mention the flaws that have recently been discovered with GoLang. Chainlink is an insecure, invalidated, and expensive solution to an easy-to-fix problem. Anyone with a background in software development can tell you how easy it would be to create a simple middle ware platform in Java. If a first year CS student can do it, then slave-pay tier Pajeets can do it too. You faggots aren't going to the moon. You're not the crew of Apollo 11. You're the crew of Apollo 13, and you mother fuckers just stirred the tanks.

>trustless is a terrible term
U wot m8? For starters, great term. Don’t need trust. Aka TRUSTLESS. DONT NEED IT ANYMORE (but it’s there like a little link angel). And secondly, just because a brainlet like you can’t fathom why the tech in this case will win out over leddit scam coins, does not mean the link community should stop working and focus on changing the industry terminology because you cant be bothered to learn a new word.

Sorry but the paradigm shift already happejed. Gates, jobs, bezos, musk, etc are the new school. Do you think old Illuminati type bankers came up with paypal, venmo, and we chat?
They used to say knowing how to type will be the minimum rewuirement instead of knowing how to write. It quickly became knowing how to work a computer. Well later it's gonna be knowing how to use command line.

>> No.12486375

>>12486115
PayPal, venmo, and WeChat are all successful payment networks because it was easy for people to use. Anyone can connect to the internet. The programmers made it happen. Industry titans had to conform. Look how torrenting forced entertainment industries to shift to streaming. There's no hidden forces that dictate what people will use, people just use what works for them. You don't need to change the language to appease boomers.
