you can use dividends from one stock to buy another, but you will lose the tax advantage that plain old DRIPs get, since you are getting the divident capital, and then using it to buy new things

idk I'm setting up my wdc short today. researched it and looks at the automatic ETF purchase boosting it by 7.5% today. it's due for another of those 5%+ sudden drops it seems to do periodically. nand price projections keep being lowered and WDC refuses to reduce its very high dividend payout, despite free cash flow halving this quarter according to them. it's an absolute pink wojak stock about to get pinker

Excellent week. I'm not sure of weekly percentage gain but i'll ballpark it at around 10-12% somehwere in there. Winning trades paid nicely, losing trades were at worst break even. Took a big chunk of profit before close today. Now sitting on a meaty 45% cash position. Not seeing much in the way of long swing setups at the moment. Some potential shorts on overbought stocks. We'll see next week.

sounds like a great short desu, gonna have to look into this.
I would advice against it in this recovering market, which can be illogical at times, but with the chinese GDP numbers coming monday it might not be too bad time-wise.
