There was a weakening in FOREX and a shitty jobs market report in Europe. Hedge fund mangers have been selling shit off to hold their position but it has driven the stock market down. Investopedia! It has a ton of information, which means there's a lot of pages to sort through, but it's everything you need. I would also recommend searching "investing basics" or something to that effect on Google.

Don't pay anyone to teach you. Don't pay for books to teach you.

The bare basics are "buy low, sell high." If you have let's say $500 to throw at Robinhood that you won't need, try only investing $100 at a time until you get more confident. If your $100 investment turns into $40, it's better than the whole $500 turning into $200.

When you get Robinhood, look at stocks that you think will go up. Generally speaking, a stock that is up 10% one day will probably not go up another 10% the next day.

And the biggest advice, which is itself contradictory, is don't listen to /biz/. You'll be burned WAY more often than not if you throw money in what they're pushing. And generally be skeptical of biotech stocks.
