>have small business
>bid on a contract that would be the equivalent of our annual revenue
>really only did it to get experience bidding on larger projects
>submitted just before christmas
>had the sneaking suspicion after submission that I underbid
>just got the email that they're interested in awarding us the contract
>going to have to fly out for an in person meeting next week

I'm freaking out. This is a huge opportunity, but fucking up on this project can easily tank my business. What the fuck do I do?

Ask for an advance and go all in on Link. Won't even need to build the project or business when on Mars.

I don't think so, but there's a voice in my head that keeps telling me I did.

The fact that they want to award implies that I'm on the low side of the pricing scale as well, which does not put my mind at ease.

Congrats, as someone who frequently bids on contracts (though I am in a large business) I know how much work goes into these things.

You may have been close to other vendors in terms of pricing, they may have selected you due to the amount of service you can offer. Smaller businesses are sometimes selected as they go above and beyond.

One large contract with a company often leads onto lots of long term work.

Never underbid lmfao. They're either going to bid you down or work you like a mule. Thats not even to mention the fact that if they stiff you on orderly payment, your business could take a massive hit.
