General discussion of the upcoming cryptocurrency cannabis farming MMORPG called Flowerpatch: the game, cards, and NUG tokens.

Alpha release is scheduled for Q1 2019.

Flowerpatch is a browser-based cannabis farming & cryptocurrency MMORPG currently in development. Players will manage their virtual farms through planting and harvesting cannabis crops. The FLOWER tokens (cards) - acquired through market purchases, player trades, harvesting, and breeding - are used by players to plant new and potentially unique flowers on their farms.

The game will feature a breeding system which will enable players to combine FLOWER cards in attempts to gain desirable traits in unique offspring FLOWERs. Randomization algorithms may also grant these offspring stats or traits not found on either parent.

Harvesting a flower may yield BUD or NUG tokens and potentially a FLOWER card.
BUD tokens will be used as in-game (in-world) currency to purchase additional farming land, better farming equipment, and other items.
NUG tokens will be redeemable (like vouchers/gift cards) in the real world for real cannabis, at supported cannabis dispensaries in areas where recreational cannabis is legal.

Inspired by farming games like Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, and Minecraft (farming/botany addons), the Flowerpatch developers are hoping to make the best multi-player farming game and the best cannabis game on Earth. They can create anything from thin air, and give us them to encourage growth, but they are instead being greedy little fuck nuggets.

It would cost them NOTHING to do decent giveaways on /biz/, and suddenly have organic shilling from people who feel they are in on the ground floor.

They've given out like 500+ tokens and there's 530 of them currently in existence. There's been at least 1 giveaway thread on /biz/ every single day since they first announced their presence.
Also the game isn't even out yet.

It's just like how kickstarter games offer a $10,000 slot - the expectation is that most people won't choose to contribute that much to the project, but that those that do can gain extra rewards from it.
You don't need to buy any of the expensive shit if you don't want to, but there are people out there with tons of ETH who don't want to grind as much in the beginning.
Since you'll be able to breed and potentially gain more through harvesting, you can start with just a few commons. It'd cost like $20 to get every common strain currently offered, and as I said the devs & community have been doing giveaway threads every day (which have been getting jannied).
You could've gained a rare card simply by going on discord during New Years and submitting a custom strain - that's all that was required.
Rares are usually also give out when people get quads or quints in giveaway threads
