the legendary Golden Bull edition

>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, Pendulum is the king of cope, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

guys, there's 4 outcomes:
Powell raises the rate:
The market go bullish because this indicate that there's nothing wrong with the economy, and recession is already priced in.
The market go bearish because this indicate that Fed won't be able to buy up our bags anymore.
Powell decreases the rate:
This is bullish because Fed will keep buying our bags.
This is bearish because the economy is totally fucked and we're going to experience a hyperinflation.

What do you guys think?

Let's say I buy 100 shares of SQQQ, then sell 50$ calls every month, regardless of strike price. Even if the strike gets called at 50% loss (10$ a share), as long as I have sold calls for 20 months, I would have broke even. In 40 months, I would have made back my initial investment. I could also buy ~25 more shares to limit downside if my 100 shares get called away before the two year mark.

>costs more energy to refine and manufacture than it will ever generate in its opperational lifetime
>kills all creatures that fly over it (flashcooking birds before they even hit the ground, not to mention the impact to any flying insects)
>kills all plant life underneath them (so cant be used over farmable land)
and they have efficiencies worse than internal combustion engines, 80% of energy is lost as heat waste (only 75% if you spend twice as much energy to manufacture "efficient" panels)

and thats not even mentioning the scaling problem, you could need to cover entire states with nothing but panels (so no sunlight whatsoever for those areas) and still not generate enough power for industrial use that a couple tiny power plants could make (coal, oil, or nuclear)

thats not even mentioning the local weather fuckups from having a new large thermal hotspot, which would basically cause intense global warming on a local scale (even disregarding the impact on any flying life above them, or plant life below them)

the only good thing about solar is that it can scale down nicely (but it still has shit efficiency) and most of the manufacturing impact is localized in china

the most efficient solar panels can maybe push about 30% efficiency, while a shitty nuclear power plant can top 66-70% energy efficiency easily

and a giant flaw with solar panels is that they rely on surface area (exposed to the sun) so if they arnt huge enough to fuck up the local area, they cannot produce meaningful scales of (non-residential) power, ever

even wind can be scaled up without having a linear increase in land area used

solar is nice for small low energy devices, and (sometimes) useful for residential use, but its a shit replacement for power generation

also every single piece of plastic, not to mention basically any clear material that is not glass (and most flame retardant coatings) are all made of refined oil, so we will never be able to stop pumping it for material use, unless you want health, food, and sanitation standards to drop like a rock

solar panel benefits are that require no electric grid. can be installed at roof (tesla solar roof replaces traditional pricks) for example. so in future closer to equator all energy can be produced with solar power, when panels become more efficient as they constantly do. and in northern and darker areas energy will be produced combination of summer solar + fusion power plants. nuclear plants are fine too, thorium nuclear too

You're a fucking retard with no idea what you're talking about.

Experimental solar cells have around 25% efficiency, consumer grade solar cells around 17-18% at the moment, maybe 20% if you want to be generous.

Meanwhile, nuclear power plants are around 35% efficiency, give or take a few percent. You need high temperature nuclear power plants for efficiency up to 70% because the Carnot's rule is a bitch.

steam turbines get a sweet ~60%, and nuclear waste heat can be used to keep the initial reaction going, so as long as the reaction is steady the plant nuclear beats solar no contest

the point is nuclear can scale up to efficiencies well over twice as high as any solar panel ever can, not even mentioning the land area costs that cripple meaningful large scale solar power generation
