I have no idea where you can purchase acceptable meat for $1.36 /lb that is not lemur, or ocelot, or some other bushmeat that Ngubu & friends shot with a 200 year old blowgun in Nigeria.

In fact, the actual all in costs to raise even grass-fed lamb (where the fucking cost of the feed is fucking free) come out to just over $1/lb before transport and butcher (which is the cheapest of any meat in the USA self-raised).

I buy massive packs of bacon every week, theres no fucking way im raising enough pigs to replace that anytime soon.
The only way it could happen is with scale, selling the meat I dont want every week, which puts me in competition with existing farmers, which is pointless when I can just support the existing ones.
