Straight up OP. If you can't afford a Dominican Republic Excursion, best thing to do is to go offline, get in your car, and drive somewhere anywhere. You need to get away from things. You probably live in a city or suburb I'm guessing. Looking at everybody having a good time and good life. Get away from that shit and go into nature for a little bit. I understand your point about needing to buy shit to feel better is shallow, materialistic and petty. But we are social creatures and can't help but judge from results. If everybody tells you you're a great guy, and yet you can't get a girl to save your life, what is one to think? The biggest problem here that I see is lack of self-worth ultimately caused by a lack of confidence. $1,000 to bring back your confidence could earn you 40, 50 or even a hundred fold on the initial investment.
