A. It's not possible for the DOW to plunge more than 7% without triggering a circuit breaker.
B. It's still early pre-market

At this point the only thing holding the economy together are the Fang meme stocks and pharmaceuticals.Consumer spending went up 3.8% in the third quarter. Due to the rate hikes by the Fed. Before that Banks were less likely to give out loans. But wages are stagnant despite Trumponomics.(Tax cuts, tariffs etc,). Just look up other stocks like car manufacturers, intel, heavy industry, even wallmart.. They're down 10-40%

>source: my ass
You are so obviously a liar. Loan approval ratings have not increased after the rate hikes. Consumers are LESS likely to spend because of the rate hikes charging them more to spend.

>> No.12242362

>>12242263
Just look up the loan approval rates in August and how they were historically during that period. Consummer spending went up, retail sales etc...(Consummer=businesses and you're averge joe) but the stocks are still going down in retail, car etc. If you're money is affected by inflation which is influenced by fed rates. You're going to spend your money unless you want it to get devalued while keeping it on your savings account.

This is next-level chicken bone reading.

The average consumer doesn't start spending more because inflation is slightly higher.

Even if it does crash they won't lose money unless they panic sell. At worse they have to delay retirment 2 - 3 years.

>> No.12242765

The average consummer doesn't get a bank loan if the rates are low. Why would the banks lend you money if they can't make money?

>The average consummer doesn't get a bank loan if the rates are low. Why would the banks lend you money if they can't make money?
The banks still negotiate their own rate with consumers.
The rate at which they themselves borrow is lower, but they can still lend money with the exact same difference.

Goodbye, Pax Americana.
Out of Syria, out of Afghanistan.
Your economy has been force fed by niggers and low-class mexicans, enforcing incompetent idiots into important posts by affirmative action.
Sad.
