So far this has been the most hilarious (and dangerous) critique of BAT/Brave that I've seen. This surpasses the ">why would BAT ever go above $1" in terms of FUD.

Long story short, some Literally Fucking Who? twitter user became upset because people were donating BAT to him and in his petite low IQ brainlet, he thought some impostor was using his likeness to solicit donations.

He calls out Brave, Brave explains to him that "actually those donations are for you and you can collect them", then he throws a tantrum about his privacy. Brave fixes the "issue" that he pointed out, and he's still salty about receiving donations via Brave. It's a really interesting human interaction, when some people fail to understand something or are confused, they react in anger rather than trying to understand.

No its not. The money was never truly purchased by the donator, Brave gave it to them for free to donate to publishers to incentivize the ecosystem.

Maybe you retards haven't heard of KYC AML laws, but Brave is adhering to laws that it must know who gets funds if they send them some. All this retard had to do was complete some KYC forms to get "his" money.

Brave doesn't "collect money on someone's behalf", and it's anything but automatic. First of all, BAT isn't money - somebody either bought it or received it from Brave. In either case, what they choose to do with it is their own right - NOT yours. If they want to donate it to you, they can. They can do this via Brave, and it sits in escrow until you opt in or opt out. If you opt out, the BAT is returned to where it came from. If you opt in, you can collect your BAT. Nobody is collecting it "for you", and it's completely manual in terms of donations.

The absolute state of people. Brave/BAT are undeniably an incredible and game-changing idea, but I'm beginning to think it's just a stretch to expect all the plebs and brainlets out there to catch on and really understand its potential. It might be an idea that's way before its time.
