It’s also bitmex banning burgers for real. Crackdown was this week (supposedly, I cashed when I got the cash out or it’ll be gone by the end of this week notice. Not sure if they actually did). But anyway it’s on binance now and sitting there. Not going back to bitmex myself, so won’t be shorting crypto any more ). Cashing out bitmex required closing my short position. Depending on how many burgers there were that alone could have triggered temporary uptrend. We will see if it sticks. Didn’t cash to fiat, just holding it as btc. I didn’t buy any btc though at all, just closed short. I imagine many others did mostly the same. Can confirm that is the route that required the least effort on my part, so lots of others probably took the lazy route and did the same.
