I wasn't implying they are the same, but so long as cryptography is legal we will have cryptocurrency. You seem to put a lot of faith in the government's (as if there is only one in the world) ability to shut down crypto. I am skeptical that they will be able to because it seems futile to try. They may even be incentivized to keep it around for reasons of their own.
