Do you have any investments or property?

If I had that kind of cash, shit if I had 50k I’d at least try starting a small business

i'm a software engineer
i only make modest six figures but had a small retention bonus pay out after a start up i was working at was acquired
much of my money however was from working a white collar job while living with my parents for 3 years. i would recommend every college graduate do this.

>>12121275
none, not even a 401k or stocks anymore. I cashed out in august and it was only 10k total at the time

i've considered starting my own emergency oil delivery/repairman service but even if I charge high prices, the regulatory and litigation risks are disgustingly high, such that even the largest company (Petro) is running profit margins of like 4%

Also considered being a landlord but houses are about 400-600k here in Nassau County and are in horrible condition in terms of maintenance

>>12121281
sexy, rent is the number one most horrific expense for any laborer. insurance, vices, and entertainment don't even come close. people probably spend 30-50% of their take home on rent and commuting

The wife and I did that after graduating, we were able to afford a down payment after 2 years

>>12121334
With that kind of cash you’re probably best off just waiting for the crash and buying cheap property, but who knows really

>Live in your car
I have a mortgage. I could live in my car, but it wouldnt save me any money unfortunately. Im saving about 1k a month at the moment. Could go a bit more, but I dont really want to have no life at all.

up or down from what? i had put 10k in crypto, rode it to 40k, and then back down to 10k, and cashed out even steven
i've lost during my lifetime probably at least 30k from stupid non-crypto investments, either from picking particular companies that i thought were undervalued or from bad choices in mutual funds
presently, now, only ~1k of my money is in equities
