How do you save money with shitty parents? I just got my first job and my parents are draining me.

>no money to move out
>can't save because parents always take my money to pay bills

It's funny how they always could pay bills, but once I got a job they suddenly couldn't afford them and need help. I can't even save up for a car and stuck paying them $50 a week for gas, plus $300-600 a month paying bills they "can't" afford. I only take home about $1,600 a month. I have my own food and stuff I have to buy, my $100/month cell phone bill, prescriptions for my medicine, doctor/counseling visits, etc. I have maybe $100 a month left over. It will take me over a year just to buy a cheap car.

People will always try to take advantage of you every moment you advance, whether its your parents and your first job or it's your multi-billion company making any profit. Just tough it out if it's an entry level job (which it is) and keep your head down and eyes forward. Also remember the first phrase for later in life.

You sound entitled as fuck man. You make more than what a minimum wage working full time makes, with cheap expenses. Compared to living on your own, paying $300-$600 is cheaper than living on your own.

You're in a perfect situation to learn budgeting, a skill that's essential for anyone who wants to be financially successful. Be optimistic my friend

Buddy, that is your legal property. It is theft if they take it. Tell them to man up and take care of their shit like they were able to before you got a job. Otherwise you can launch a suit to recover all of the money unlawfully taken from you. Not sure how old you are, but parents have a fiduciary duty over minor aged dependents, so they can't kick you out. That duty is not, however, a justification for stealing from you, especially if you can establish that it is unnecessary.

I know they are your parents, but you shouldn't let anyone take advantage of your hard work like this

If your over 18 or the check is in your name this is theft...

Borrow the money to move out. Government, bank, credit union. Also tell your parents they're harming themselves in the long run.

I'm 22. They don't take the money from me. They always ask, and I'm afraid to say no and they'll kick me out. Also I lend them my debit card to buy groceries and they always "lose" the receipt and when I check my statements they spend a fuck ton. I lent him my debit card a few days ago to buy me food for work because I was tired and he went to Home Depot and spent like $150 on lumber to finish fixing his deck.

My credit score is 458. Have collection from an apartment I never lived in. My Dad put my name on the lease when I was 18 because, well I have no fucking clue why. And I also owe Comcast a few hundred because they insisted on putting it in my name saying hey would pay the bills but never did. Also got $3K left in student loans.

Your parents behavior is fucking wrong. They're literally treating you like a serf. Maybe they justify it since they raised you etc., but that was their choice. Parents aren't supposed to expect shit from their kids except that they pay taxes.

Jesus your parents sound like real scumbags.
Don't let people like that take advantage of you.

Do you maybe have a friend you can ask a favor of? Like moving in with them temporarily for a month or two so you can build up some money for a rent deposit on your own place.

cut the phone down to $25 with Net10 1000 minute/text card.

Give up the car entirely and take the bus.

Try to move out and get a room mate you trust.

I did all these to cut ties with my parents entirely. Cunt mother stole my identity anyway. Pussy father was complacent and complicit and didn't let me know.

She's dead and he's poor as fuck. He asked me to co sign on a fuckin loan for him, the dumb cunt.

they are taking advantage of you. you are in an abusive relationship, plain and simple.

avoid these people. leave. they are harming you and taking advantage of you. nobody in their right mind does that to someone they love. they clearly do not respect you.

STOP letting them harm you. if they kick you out, so be it.

get financial counselling ASAP. there are usually public programs. hit up the local city government, the library, churches, community colleges, etc. get someone to help you.

These are purely family problems. We can't actually help you with anything, you know that right? Your parents are using you and you're letting them, that's all that's going on.

This sounds like a thinly veiled hugboxing thread. Your only answer it to man up and move out or something. No purely financial tips will help you.

what a couple of busted cunts

Why would you ever let anyone other than you put a god damn thing in your name?

Stop giving them the card.

And see if you can get the apartment collection reversed. File a dispute. If he out it in your name without your permission, he's fucked.

This is abuse like all the other anons said.

Apply to get your social security number changed.

Get on Creditboards.com to figure out how to talk to these creditors.

Did you physically sign the comcast and apartment lease? If you yourself didn't sign this they have to remove it.
Even if you did I'm sure you can get out of the debts and reporting by saying you were under duress or coercion.

It sounds like you might be very sheltered so lexington law, might be a good option. Ask if they'll take your case pro-bono. Your story is pathetic enough.

Say No. They can't kick you out without an eviction and it sounds like your parents can't afford that. If they use violence they get arrested.

Learn your fucking rights as a human being

reduce cellphone
save money
Get loans
move out
cut ties
