>Bought $CHMA
>Held through FDA announcement
>Rejected
>Stock instantly loses 60% of it's value
>Losing more and more each day

Should I just cut my losses and sell this piece of shit right now or keep bagholding in hopes that it will spike on some good news in the future?

They are planning on doing another trial and reapplying, but I don't know how realistic that is. They are cash poor.

>bought $2000 shares of $GBSN on a 2 to 1 reverse split, thinking it would boost up share price
>share price crashes
>hold until another 35 - 1 reverse split happens.
>price bounces back up, reducing my losses to about $300.
>optimistically hold
>price crashes, cash out with $900 lost into oblivion
>#GBSN is currently a sinking ship, at least I didn't lose it all
Get out now and assume losses or lose it all in the future.

In theory, your decision to hold or sell should NOT include the price you paid. In theory, this is the most pronounced reason that retail investors lose 90% of the time.

Is there a reason to hold now?
>They are planning on doing another trial and reapplying, but I don't know how realistic that is. They are cash poor.
Okay. There is your reason. Is it a good enough reason to hold?

Will the stocks intermedeate preformance going forward between cytalysts be positive or negative. (Risk anlysis).

Next time, PLAN. If they are approved I will do X. If they are denied I will do Y. If X1 price is reached I will sell - if Y1 price is reached I will buy. If the only reason you were holding was to see if they were going to be approved, there was NO rational reason to hold after knowing they were denied.

I decided to hold through the weekend because they hadn't announced the FDA decision by close that Friday. R.I.P. Never holding through the weekend again

When liquidity evaporates, stop losses don't help.

At most, he would have salvaged 15% with a stop loss. Which, yes, is a lot. But, considering the initial drop was 60% it's less material.

That was a pretty dumb statement. I'm sure you didn't mean it.

Traders can always tell you what their biggest loss to date has been. They can never remember the smallest loss they've taken. That's because they don't like to take small losses. Thus they only take big ones and are soon out.

Never put yourself in a pharma trade with the expectation of a "big announcement". Same goes for oil and gas on their respective "stat" days. It's like putting your dick through a gloryhole in a Missouri roadside porn store. You're just sticking it in there not knowing what is going to suck it or cut it off.

sell it immediately tomorrow unless you have a serious amount of money on it. It's going to recover, but it's going to take way too long. You might as well sell it and use they money to make it back 10x faster.

Why the fuck would you even have held for that large a loss? Why is /biz/ so bad at dealing with losing stocks?

Stop loss won't help in this type of situation. When a stock gaps down a stop loss will get you out at the price it opens trading at.
