There were financial disputes between him and his management, which became so bad that they plotted to kill 6ix9ine. Feds had someone wiretapped, so they swooped in and arrested 6ix9ine.
The RICO charges are being brought up because law enforcement believes 6ix9ine is a ring leader of this gang (which is why he’s been denying any affiliation with them as of late). That may not be the case, but it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. If the court finds that any of his money was used to fund criminal activity, he’s getting locked up for a long time.
