I don't care about having my "own" (it's never yours as long as you have to pay taxes on it) space. I have no problem living in a rented apartment and would look into owning an apartment only as a potential investment vehicle and nothing else (note that the returns would not be nearly enough to offset the otherwise evaded taxes).

Start a small business not caring about being profitable just breaking even. I have one trezor that I leave in NY apartment, always. I have one trezor that I carry in my pocket whenever I leave.

When I next visit my mother out of state, I may buy and set up an extra trezor.
