So I was selling a lightly used antminer S1 and a PSU to some guy in Oklahoma City, and the package arrived today. He sent me a message, and I was basically shocked at what he said (mostly because I'm a new seller)

To sum it up, two capacitors broke off in shipping (which pisses me off because I SPECIFICALLY told the lady at the USPS post office to treat it with a lot of care, plus I put "FRAGILE" in capital, bold letters on the box), and he wanted me to pay for the shipping so that he can send the item back because it was my fault somehow. I told him (rather calmly) that he needed to provide photo evidence, and that it was almost brand new when I sent it to him. He then replies with , "New??? Lol I'm reporting you. And I'll send it back if you pay for shipping." I then told him, "Trust me. This is not my fault at all. USPS is to blame. In fact, why are you even reporting me??? You can check the pictures and you'll see that this thing was basically brand new. You can blame USPS, so don't even start blaming me for their screw up. Plus, you won't even send me a picture of the damage that wasn't there when I shipped it. Plus, I'm not paying for shipping. You must be out of your mind. Again. This wasn't me fault. You can take this up with your post office."

He hasn't responded, I already reported him, what else should I do?

Ebay is shit to sell on, senpai, if you aren't a huge seller. They will always side with the buyer.

Just de-link your account and spend the money before he reports you lol.

Thames for reminding me why I stopped selling on Ebay

Wasn't worth the time or money when 1 out of every 3 sells resulted in a PayPal dispute because of poojets and chinks trying to scam me

Sorry but you dun goofed. At the end of that day its just another package being manhandled between locations. Do you think somehow a hand-off occurs where each person tells the next to treat it well?

You gotta pack shit up expecting it to be thrown off building. Anyway try filing a claim on their website. You should be able to do that even as the sender I believe.

i worked for a while in a UPS hub. nobody has time to read your notes or even place your package gently. it gets thrown and stepped on. "fragile" doesn't mean shit. if you want to protect yourself you need to insure the package otherwise it's your fault and your $$$.

Youll have to take it back, ebay will force you.

This is why insurance exist. Its not the buyers responsibility to take it up with the post office. Its yours.

So youll get it back and file a claim.

I learned long ago to over package everything to the point that it could get kicked across a room and still be OK.

Basically, you cant hide behind USPS and says "bbbb-ut I said to handle it fragile!!"

Doesnt work like that in the real world. Deal with it.
