Ripple is centralized as fuck, long term you can't trust something that can be fundamentally tampered with by its creators, that's why bitcoin (core) is so valuable; for better or for worse it has immutable characteristics that cannot be changed by any single motivated party without near unanimous support by the whole network.

Bitcoin, Monero, and Ethereum for all the same reasons as OP.
Litecoin because it's been around almost as long as Bitcoin, is nearly as widespread, is in constant development, etc.

WABI, NEO, and POWR are medium-term (1-2 years) holds. I don't see very long-term potential in WABI (because if it's successful, it's still a narrow market and it will be easy for competitors to jump in), and I'm still cautious about NEO and POWR.
