I’ll start

Bitcoin
>first and most well known crypto
>onboards newbies into the space
>already used in shithole countries as a legitimate SOV
>second layer tech being developed and advancing everyday

Ethereum
>largest smart contract platform
>largest developer base
>POS potential passive income stream

Monero
>best privacy coin on the market to date
>used and preferred in darknet markets
>best crypto option for rich people looking to hide money

Chainlink
>most advanced oracle network to date
>ahead of competition
>has potential to massively improve usability of smart contracts
>official and unofficial partnerships

Translation, people who figure out how to hack around the resistance get tons of free hash power.

Anyway, proof of work is pretty old tech these days. ETH is the only one that intends to upgrade. XMR it kind of does not matter because the coin has a niche. Regardless, there is no real future for proof of work technology because it will never be made to scale properly.

The bittorrent acquisition is very important as it's repsonible for about 80% of all torrents and torrents are responsible for about 5% of all web traffic in the world - which is a big fucking chunk. Now that they're switching to paying seeders in TRX to host files, private trackers will become absolutely irrelevant because there simply is no reason to seed for free.

The full effect of a large scale torrenting system will be on display soon, and with Bittorrent streaming on the way; the state of content is about to be drastically altered forever.

First PoW pure-mined token, hard-capped, deflationary -- Bitcoin on Ethereum. Basically a version of Bitcoin that interacts with smart contracts, and is secured by Ethereum's consensus. (This means 51% attacks don't work.) Will continue to be PoW while ETH will switch to PoS in the future. Unlike ETH, does not need to be wrapped for use in contracts. Has attributes of a store of value, which Ether was never designed to be, since it's inflationary, was ICO'd (causing hugely uneven distribution), and doesn't have a transparent monetary policy. As Vitalik himself has intimated, Ether could go to 10$ and Ethereum would work just fine. Ether is designed to be fuel, not gold. 0xBTC proposes to be the store of value on the Ethereum chain.

https://greyenlightenment.com/politics-and-crypto-update/

>. Generally, high-IQ stuff tends to concentrate capital at a higher density than low-IQ stuff. So this means wealth will coalesce in the high-IQ ‘sinks’.Among competing high-IQ investments, the one with better fundamentals invariably wins out. So regrading crypto, Ethereum and Ripple both have high-IQ tech and smart people working on those projects, but Ripple is by every quantifiable metric a superior product. This requires doing research to find out which product/investment has better fundamentals.

Bitcoin, Monero, and Ethereum for all the same reasons as OP.
Litecoin because it's been around almost as long as Bitcoin, is nearly as widespread, is in constant development, etc.

WABI, NEO, and POWR are medium-term (1-2 years) holds. I don't see very long-term potential in WABI (because if it's successful, it's still a narrow market and it will be easy for competitors to jump in), and I'm still cautious about NEO and POWR.
