>This project is the first to introduce the concept of Fan Tokens: utility cryptocurrencies corresponding to specific sports clubs like FC Barcelona that gives its holders a stake in the clubs.

I came across this yesterday, and after reading about this more, I'm actually getting interested. I never thought crypto + real sports could actually work, yet here ChiliZ is making it happen, with already PSG and Juventus on board as far as I'm aware.
Also the Binance guys are heavily involved.

Question is; will normies actually give a shit about this? The idea seems decent, but I don't know how many fucks a normal sports watcher will give, to buy these tokens and actually use them. Just seems like a hassle to me, although I'm a lazy ass.

Thoughts?

>t. brainlet

chiliz is interesting to be sure, if only because it has a ton of memeability and potential normie appeal (unlike high tps vaporware blockchain projects).

yeah, but will chiliz/socios actually work in taking a piece of the pie from them?
im still debating it all, if this works then this will literally be the monopoly of the sports/esports crypto industry.

>>11843472
they are essentially the same, made by the same team, like socios is the platform using chiliz tokens. im still rereading the medium article

Who the fuck would partner with this project?

and why have 2 platforms. If anything its frustrating that so many projects want to implement blockchain but don't realize they add another layer of complexity to it.

You can lead a poorfag brainlet to water, but you can't make the poorfag brainlet drink.

You idiots wouldn't recognize a 100x ROI project even if it slapped you in the face with your mom's dick lol.

psg, juventus, fnatic (esports) already partnered.
chiliz is the token and socios is like the app that uses it.
it does add complexity, but i can see why they chose this way

I don't know if this is true; a lot of coins rn have scalability issues; so I can see why they'd want to make their own dedicated coin. but i havent looked too much into the tokenomics of the chiliz token, does it run on eth?

Of course I know them! I googled instantly and couldn't really believe it. And it appears PSG & Juventus claims are real

Honestly I need more time to read through their whitepaper.
