Anyone else here sort of looking forward to a collapse? As a society we have become so stale and materialistic. No one wants to look at one another, buying stuff to fill voids which is increasingly common and loosing effectiveness. I get around a lot and I fail to see true happiness anywhere.

Everyone loosing their homes and jobs will bring back some of the human in our lives and bring us back together. Like a giant camp out. Sounds fun.
I do feel for the people who won't be able to feed themselves or get medical attention but hopefully generosity prevails.
It's not like any of this is our fault anyway. Corporations and governments chasing record growth and giving absurd amounts of credit to people clearly without the proper means. Problem is it isn't just a housing bubble like 2008, this is pure straight credit to anything and anyone bubble. When you can get payment plans to pay off a $100 item with interest and payday loans advertised and becoming mainstream you know we're fucked.

I don't think the bubble is popping just yet. By 2020. 99% odds.
Personally I cannot wait for a reset.

Ya I dunno. When you feel shit and feel like the whole system is shit and everything is just getting worse... it's hard not to see some sort of potential benefit to a collapse or World War type of scenario. Just to kill the boredom and give another throw of the dice if nothing else.

It's interesting to wonder what it might have been like when anybody gave a damn about anything.

naw people will just starve and/or kill themselves. Then there will be a revolution and more people will die. Then we'll go back to square one. Do you know how many children "went missing" (and were subsequently eaten, pic related) in russia during the 20s or how many kids were basically sent away as slaves called "home children" during the depression in the states during the 30s? It wasn't fun times.

I worked in marketing for a while and it comes as no surprise that maximum profit is number one at any cost. We paid 30% of our budget into consumer phycology studies. People are sheep and are taken advantage of in the most mundane ways. And this is marketing on a small scale. What we are being force fed is being shat down our throat from 100 different directions.

>>11831775
Governments are smarter this time around. They won't let us completely starve. Rioting will be contained to a minimum especially in upper class cities. It's against their best interests.

People lose their fucking minds when they get hungry, just look up the september massacres during the french revolution.

I highly doubt we are ever going to enter a 30's style depression for the forceable future. An 08 style recession but much worse. Food technology is one major advancement. Fresh fruit and vegetables can be grown on mass in factories using solar power, without soil for extremely low cost using LED's and minimal water. Personal kits are already being sold off.

Stocking essentials in the coming years is clearly the only thing we can do for now.

This makes sense to white people, but when the hoardes of niggers see your fancy LED grow setup, they will go full gibsmedat mode and steal that shit and just break it

pretty sad that we're 100% going to see the worst depression in history during our lifetime, likely over the next 10 years. It's obvious when you look at how inflated the stock and real estate markets are, all of these tech companies over valued by 10-100x its gonna be a bloodbath worse than anyone can possibly imagine. how is it possible to have a 30's like depression when we have the internet? serious. everyone on the internet will just colelctively brainwash eachother to be "good" and not do the degenerate shit like posted in this thread. Yep, it will collapse nations.
First China, then US and Europe will fall into anarchy.
Only relatively self-sustaining countries will pull through, any country that's too reliant on global trade will fall apart.
