one of the few larps to ever be right (predicting accord) used this format, then this one came out of nowhere weeks if not months after others stopped making up these strings of two letters. I think it's somewhat worth investigating.

*la(ds), I'd never call my stinky brothers retards.

I have a few channels I get information from, not claiming to be an insider or anything.

Anyway, word on the street is Sergey and the team are getting ready to announce something big. Dunno where, dunno when, just relaying what I hear.

Right after I heard that, I saw that Sergey was giving a talk on Dec 3 in NY. I dunno if that's the event they were talking about, but it might be. Just giving you boys a heads-up about the Chainlink buzz.

I thought the same thing...

3 different guys I've known for a while who have big contacts in the crypto space are adamant mainnet will be released this year... I respect what they say, but I think Q1 is more likely since Steve is still grinding away at the big aggregation task on the tracker and a lot the UI and whatnot still aren't done. They swear mainnet will be operational this year, but it just doesn't seem possible.

who care's about when it comes out. i think the thing people are dying for some confirmation of from anyone in the know is whether the assblaster narrative is generally correct or chainlink is just another crypto project (though obviously a notch above most).

1 of them has confirmed ties to the CL team, other two don’t. Oddly, the one with confirmed ties has been the least vocal. He just said to “expect a 2018 mainnet” once. He won’t really comment too much. The other two dudes who aren’t connected with the team won’t stfu about mainnet next month. The inbalance in their enthusiasm is the reason why I’m not 100% convinced.

The “whales and insiders crashed btc to acquire LINK” idea is just a meme lmao. It’s true that big guys like Novogratz and Lubin are accumulating though.

I have no source on this, just what I think. Lubin has left a nice trail of breadcrumbs, and he has ties to Chainlink via Consensys. The way he talks about "second layer" technologies, he's definitely following Chainlink. He even name dropped it inadvertently by saying "link it in" on a Bloomberg interview a few months ago. Novogratz is a hunch. The genesis wallet that bought 2 million Chainlink proves big ETH players are getting into the LINK game.

reread the threads. maybe it's not obvious walking into it now, but a lot of what is just kind of assumed about the importance link comes directly from assblaster, especially before the alpha node and the past few months as it became clear chainlink is going to be a big deal. if not for the tale assblaster spun there's no way the 1k eoy would have come about nor chainlink become as intensely talked about on /biz/ as it has. chainlink was bleeding out of /biz/s consciousness in november after sibos and becoming a joke and then months of nothing happening (aside from the "December news") would have been the nail it's coffin for the adhd /biz/ crowd until assblaster came along.
