You don't seem to realize that Bitcoin will adapt over time. These adaptations are slow, but that's due to the decentralized nature of Bitcoin, and one of it's strong suits. In what way do you propose that "the system" is going to burn me? What fucking system are you even talking about? I've been in Bitcoin since late 2012, and have worked on a variety of projects in the space since that time, and continue to do so. I love what I do, and will continue to love it whether the price is $100,000, $10,000, $1,000, $100, $10, or fucking $1. I'm here for the technology and its current and future application. Price is secondary, but price hikes will come with time, and every serious person involved knows this.

I don't think anyone here is claiming that btc is ready for mass adoption, but neither is any other cryptocurrency. Mass adoption isn't something that occurs with the flick of a switch. Adoption is something that happens over time. As Bitcoin and Bitcoin's infrastructure mature, adoption will follow, and speculators will be rewarded. It doesn't take much to see that Bitcoin has a strong infrastructure, and is here to stay. If you'd prefer to contribute your time to some shitcoin then by all means, have fun
