Is there any escape? If you follow the prescribed path this is how your life will end up more or less.

Fuck that, I'm out. Is there any point in trying if that's how it'll go? What are my other options?

Society is constructed to literally make us all NPC wageslaves drowning in debt and mediocrity.

Look, we are in this wierd ass matrix. Start figuring out what you want to do. If you just want to retire early and live hedonistic lifestyle then study hard cheaply so you can get a good wageslave position(maybe you even like the position) and invest as much as you can. However try imagining your life if you already made it. What would you do then? Try eating the best food every day. It'll start to taste normal. My point is that hedonistic lifestyle is shallow so at the end you might regret wageslaving hard only to retire early with no direction in your life.

But what the fuck do I know I'm only 18 lol.

We live in a world where if you're smart you can make money literally from anywhere. You're not longer restricted in scale or scope, you don't have to beg big corporations to show your videos, or music, or drawings, or anything. All you need is a computer and the will to create. It doesn't need to be artistic either you can create websites, applications, systems that help other systems that improve lives.

I pity anyone who doesn't learn how to code in this day and age. Not learning how to code is like not learning how to write. Literally everything we do in this world is touched by code and to ignore that is to basically ignore millions of opportunities for no reason other then that you're lazy and unmotivated.

I'm talking about focusing your whole life on just "making it" and not thinking BEYOND making it. Like go work at trades 10 years, invest everything etc etc and then "make it"(which in NPC terms is endless vacation aka hedonistic lifestyle). While another possibility is to start working in a field that you like and possibly start your own business at some point at maybe make it later, but that's not so important anymore since you like what you do. Lying on a beach is great, but imo a good interesting project to work on is better.

Different guy here, but my family has always owned nursing homes: it's the family business.

Nursing homes are actually quite expensive if they provide any level of care above basic government funded medicare (which will still take nearly all of anyone's social security).

The majority of patients stay in nursing homes because they just cannot receive the care they need at home: because they are either too sick to do it themselves or require 24/7 care. You also get the shitty gen-x and boomer kids who stuff WW2 / Korea veterans away in the nursing home because they just want their inheritance early, but that's usually not the case.

My dad is 71 and forced to use a wheelchair now. If my mother was not still alive he would have to live in a nursing home because I would not be able to be around 24/7 to make sure he doesn't kill himself trying to do something silly. Do you honestly believe that, in that situation, my dad is a witless meatsack because he happened to get absolutely obliterated by a freak accident that makes it impossible for him to walk / properly take care of himself?

It's quite pathetic that you view your elders as "pathetic meat-sacks" and it only goes to show how completely detached you are from the world. The average family (or even average wealthy family) cannot afford 24/7 live-in care. You legitimately sound like the edge-lord kids who view nursing homes as a nothing more than a vehicle to seperate daddy from his money in the good ole "send to nursing home, declare as mentally incompetent" one two punch that leads to acquiring their parents assets early.

The problem is when people use nursing homes as ways to get daddy's money faster: which in our debased society happens quite frequently.

Great, you've convinced yourself of some imaginary dichotomy that doesn't really exist to make no one but yourself feel better: "reasonable people who just simply honestly frankly sincerely lovingly don't have the time" and "dirty kikes looking for inheritance"

the good thing is that it ultimately makes zero difference to the person stuck in that awful place, that constantly smells like shit, surrounded by African immigrants

So tired of seeing these whiny threads.

It's a game. If you play the gane correctly you'll be retired by 40, have plenty of money, a nice home, wife and kids.

Most people don't play the game correctly because they get too caught up in enjoying youth and don't make the best financial decisions.

If you pick a trade and do nothing but save the money and invest it, you could probably buy a home almost entirely in cash by age 30.

There's a lot of options out there that get a man wealthy by 40.

>You make more money in a month than all your ancestors from 10,000 B.C.-1800 made in commodities or currencies

>You live in a safe area instead of constantly being attacked by rival villagers that will kill you and chop off your head as a trophy

>You work in an easy cubicle job woth paperwork instead of working 20 hrs everyday just for a few coins to get a loaf of bread

Stop being such a pathetic ungrateful crybaby and snap into reality. We can never be in a utopia just be aware that you're living in the best time to be alive in human history so far

Well, shit. What exit plans do you think a software developer could follow (except early retirement) that would not require to go through another degree in order to pivot?

Also, could you provide another example of tools/services automating software development?

You missed the “pick a good major” part. You can EASILY make $30 an hour as a CS intern. Top companies will pay $50+ with paid for housing. One summer at those wages will cover 2 semesters of tuition and room and board, assuming you don’t go to some ridiculously overpriced liberal arts private school.

Better a statistically above average IQ, tech-literate, and likely somewhat redpilled 4channer has kids than another NPC or avg 80 IQ creatura.

We need more smart people in the world but most of the smart people fell for the overpopulation meme or the nihilism meme. It's pathetic. Meanwhile Stacy, Maria, and Matumbo are shitting out kids left and right that don't even have the mental capacity to contribute ANYTHING of value towards the technological progress that humanity will need to survive into the future.

An Aristotle, Newton, Liebniz, Tesla, or Einstein takes millions of genetic dice rolls from mating pairs with above average IQ DNA (pushing the curve farther to the right to maximize probability). But we're not even making these dice rolls anymore thanks to thinking like yours.
