I've got only 4k in right now. This is what I did. First I setup a target retirement fund. This will give you market diversification in a managed fund for 20 - 30 yrs. You can invest more into it each month however much you want. You can set it up to where you dump x amount into it on autopilot so the whole affair is hands off.
Then pick a few stocks, preferred ones are those who will be around in 30 yrs and will pay out a div and grow that div over time. Lastly pick a few stocks that are kinda risky, ones who have a shot of rapid growth over time. These also will also be targets of mergers if they take off so you may get a real reward down the road.
Also remember to enable drip and to reinvest your target fund's payout. This will help you during tax time and increase your return over time. Don't forget the Pot sector. Get a ETF, you get broad exposure to all the major pot companies in one swoop.

Those are useful only if a blade is severely neglected and needs restore work. They can put the correct bevel on a completely dull blade quickly. Then you go to stones to do the proper sharpening routine. Any inconsistency the carbide sharpener left will be taken out in the stone sharpening phase.

looking for some guidance starting out. alittle background is i played eve online for 12 years and spent about 4 of it playing the market. after finally getting financially fixed im able to get into the real market. i just started researching and learning on stocks this week. currently i created a robinhood account and put $100 into it. wanted to see how i could do with intuition and impulse. im making every mistake in the book, but im trying to learn from them. ive had a high of $105 and currently im sitting at $96 (this includes a $3.50 stock i was given and somehow i payed $1.60 more for a single share than it was listed at, still no idea how). I would really appreciate any advice or insults to my current strategy:

- since the ultimate goal is day trading but i have under $25k in my portfolio; im stuck with every other day trading and 3-4 emergency same day dumps
- since testing myself with $100 im going for extremely cheap stocks. $1-10 range with no more than $10 (10% currently) in a single company to reduce probability of having locked funds in a failing stock and have a diverse portfolio
- currently buying whats dipping hard (check recent news to see why) in hopes that it might be back up next day. basically hoping to get fear profits. (will change to more stable purchases if get to the point of day trading obviously)

Early on it sucked balls. You’d lose the edge cutting paper but I was too young to know the difference. I loved the all metal skeleton designs they had though. Especially when everything was going plastic like Spyderco. I carry the Incendor spring assist now and it’s pretty good. It was the only assisted opening that I could find that would be legal in Texas. We had stupid strict knife laws. Thankfully they got rid of those last year.

I love this thing, it's comfortable, has a nice compact size and practical blade shape, and top tier materials (Titanium framelock with S35VN steel)

Bonds are basically a good way to save your money. You won't make much of anything but you'll get a small return in interest. Vanguard total bond market ETF is good for that (BND). You could also go with Vanguard high dividend yield ETF (VYM). It's slightly riskier (although still low risk) and it pays you dividends for owning stocks. You'll make more money from the latter but you should always have a few bonds to hedge your bets. SLV is also good if you like precious metals as a hedge against a market collapse.
