I mean the thing that kind of keeps me up at night and the thing that gets me super excited is that right now someone in Papua New Guinea can discover oil, they can discover a natural resource, they can discover something of value. And within the current system they can make a bunch of promises that they know at the time they are making them they won’t have to keep because the legal infrastructure and banking infrastructure and all these things that are supposed to enforce their promises, they won’t. This is why a lot of folks who control resources, that really in terms of just terms belong to other people, make false promises right. This is what really interests me. a direct and crippling blow to embezzlement. think of how much money is wasted in Charities on busy work and middlemen and how much money this would free up through smart contracts simply by eliminating that need, then think about all the money straight up stolen in the charity industry that could then actually go to the purpose of the charity due to secure transactions.

here in Queensland, we are suffering a long and massive drought affecting thousands of farms. as of 3 days ago Charity organisations attempting to alleviate the pressure from the drought are now being investigated for mismanagement of funds which could potentially wipe out several farmers as a result and force them to sell their land (nominally to predatory Chinese businessmen looking to take over the country). the majority of the charities purpose is hauling water to affected farms, this leaves room to fudge numbers and pocket cash. A smart contract like this new Ondiflo use case where the Charity organises a contract that monitors the water hauler before delivering funds, eliminates this issue.

this would be a boon to mankind.
