Let's say the recession is around the corner.
Let's say I have a 401k (traditional IRA), a Roth IRA, and stocks through my company (Home Cheapot).
I don't want to lose the money I have in my accounts when SHTF, is it advisable to pull it out now/soon? or to just leave it in there?
Thanks for your advice.

Time horizon. You got time? Do nothing except keep buying at regular intervals. You don’t have time? Make sure you’re properly hedged with low risk assets. If you try to time the market, you are no better than a gambler.

If you aren’t withdrawing for at least 10 years don’t even pay attention to what the market does

>Remove all money from investment accounts
>Pay 25% tax + early withdrawal penalty fee on it
>Recession hits
>Stocks drop 15% and recover quickly

That could happen. Also, there's a small chance that you're completely wrong about the recession being right around the corner and you're freaking out about nothing. Leave your money in there.
