That one always made no sense to me, that people don't get paid for the time you're traveling to and from work.

Commutes should always be paid, up to a reasonable limit. In parts of the world you are expected to commute 1.5 fucking hours a day and this includes some parts of the USA, and you don't get paid for that time.

I guess it would be ok if I was in a city and I could write code or work on my own grind on the subway, at least then you're being forced to try and better your situation every day.

I don't have a dog in this fight anymore, I work for myself and from home.

I work for myself now and I still browse /biz/ at work instead of working
