Basically normies got in on what used to be an exclusive club for social outcasts and early adopters in the late 90s.

Now it is filled with faggot and female "scrum masters" and "agile coaches" and all the associated absolute KEKERY. What was once an virgin industry is now dominated by a few megoliths who absorb all competition and enforce a strict authoritarian rule over what they perceive to be theirs - i.e. free interaction of ideas between humans leveraging telecommunications.

It's an admin job, and the reality is the only admin jobs that are needed are a person to do the accounting and do the PR with the businesses. Interviewing should go to the most senior people of the job that is being interviewed for, managerial roles should also go to people with seniority in the subject not people with degrees in "management".

Agile is a method of developing software that's very popular at the moment, it basically just means putting the most important work first and checking in with clients often to provide updates and get feedback on how the project is going.

The whole stated point of an agile coach is to "facilitate agile", which means to make sure that a team is following practices that are agile. But agile is simple and most devs pick it up quickly, 90% of their job consists of checking e-mail, catching up with other Stacy's, reading news articles from buzzfeed and shit, and showing baby pictures. The other 10% is attending meetings.

I'd rather not get ripped off, so I pirate shit.

It's like buying a $10 coffee and then saying "oh it's because they have a lot of expenses too, like wages, premises ...etc" - yet they make millions in net profit.

Its not that their job is completely unnecessary, but it could be accomplished with a college intern, or a pamphlet really.

Here's a typical "Sprint retrospective", where the team thinks over the last 2 weeks of work and decides what went well and what didn't go so well. This is 1 of exactly 2 opportunities when an agile coach is "useful" in any way.

>Stacy: *puts phone away*
>Stacy: "Ok so today for retro we're gonna do an activity called "Stop, Start, Continue. This is where we write out things that happened over the last 2 weeks on Post-its and say whether we want to start, stop, or continue!"
>devs spend 10 minutes writing out post-its
>devs then go over each category and discuss what worked and what didn't
>Stacy listens to conversation on a surface level and writes down 2 takeaway points
>meeting over
>Stacy sends out e-mail with takeaway points
>devs do the work themselves that they agreed to themselves
>Stacy makes probably 85k a year

I don't work there anymore (spoilers: one of the worst companies i've had the displeasure of wagecucking for), but I can tell they still haven't tried one idea because they're slowly failing. Customers are leaving them, towers aren't being repaired as fast as they used to after hurricanes, etc.

I mean, I'm kinda glad though. They don't deserve my ideas anyways. Now that I'm older, I probably realize had they tried them my manager would've just stolen my credit anyways.

It's better to pirate then to buy a plastic box that needed labels and receipts and trucks to transport and factories to process. Get a digital copy for free.

There's so many good reasons for pirating though you could write papers on it.

Even the economic reason is bullshit. It's not hurting the industry. Look at the music industry. Without pirating it would have never got to streaming and the industry would have never evolved. More artists are making more money than at any point in human history. The idea of needing a patron to slave under is basically a neolithic concept as far as artists are concerned. Piracy is a godsend.

In my first company we had to only log 6 hours of work per day (the other 2 were dedicated for meetings, training, etc).
But I got a raise to a part-time scrum master (basically doing nothing) which dropped the hours to 4.
A scrum master only facilitates the planning process, but being witty with Jira I managed to only get the simplest tasks for me, and overestimate them (double what the team would plan for). So my actual work was expected to be 2 hours per day.
And I was always a bit behind, kek. In the meantime I built my first side hustles on company time.

In a bit over a year of wagecucking at said place I:
1. Built two niche sites
2. Started a decent fiverr gig and serviced people on company time
3. Translated whitepapers on bitcointalk for some nasty-ass bounty payments
4. Watched EVERY single minute of Martin Shkreli, read Principles by Dalio and every Rothbard book I could get my hands on
5. Listened to 5+ audiobooks on youtube - Zero to One, How to stop worrying and start living, Think and grow rich, The epiphany of a fool by Norbekov, etc
6. Also read Nabokov's Lolita for the lulz
And plenty of other things I can't even recall right now, kek. Also brought my own laptop to daytrade, I actually made it into LINK's ICO during work hours.
Funny thing is, I would have been a good wagecuck if my team lead wasn't a complete bitch. But the roastie revolution actually helped me in that scenario by motivating me and making me stop giving a shit about my employer...

HOWEVER the biggest problem in the industry right now is the technical people are so babysat by all this administrative bullshit, that all the memes you see of Laquisha promoting black cuisine, Ledasha fighting for onions lattes for the office canteen and Chad writing actual code are only half true.

They're half true, because the 90% of the Chads no longer write code, they just don't give a fuck anymore. And if you're the last ambitious 10% left, tough fucking luck, you better work your ass off for a 5% raise or join the absolute downfall of this industry.

Kek, why are you mad bro?
We're given lemons - we make lemonade.
I could afford to be lazy because I could easily find employment even if I was sacked (I quit myself though).
Most of us devs are actually alright, but corporations one step away from being government institutions - so much bureaucracy to make jobs for roasties that if you actually try being productive everyone is going to shit on you and you'll only get frustrated. Jacking off in the toilet and working on side projects is much more rewarding.
If you want to do actual work and enjoy being productive - go work in a startup with no more than 20 employees. I started my own one and haven't been happier.
