Probably so. I laughed at people for putting money in it and not just buying link. But now I feel different.

I couldn't have participated anyways cause burger

i have 10k link i bought at $.21
Link will pay off this way for me, but as far as running a node can a helpfulpfag share what else Link can do for me? is running your own node unfeasible, meaning you have to join a pool? is Link for staking? idk what's going on. im just a fucking day trader, but i dont touch my linkies. question is, is there something i can do with my Link aside from selling it at $966

I have 2.4 shares. I really wish I bought at least 10 but had little cash at the time.
They need to make $20 mil in revenue a month so I can get a decent side income of $48k a year.

Rapid API said their annual revenue is in the millions so my 2.4 shares may bring back $1000-$2000 (combined) which is a very good investment still.

If they hit those numbers link will have been a major success. I'm mainly glad I'll be able to stake some link with them.

the team is putting together a shiny GUI that will make running your own node very, very easy. no need for linkpool unless you can't handle more than a few clicks.

The gist of staking with Linkpool is the ability to stake your Link into a Link pool with a high penalty stack, which will be able to handle high value and lucrative smart contracts (especially banking and financial industry). They wish to control the 10% of the traffic of the network

>> No.11526586

This. If you're not a brainlet there will be no point in using linkpool to only get at most 75% instead of running your own and getting 100%.

>> No.11526594

>>11526526
I hope so. Currently feeling a bit of uncomfortable fomo over Linkpool.

However, if it's easy to run your own nodes, not having to pay a cut to a pool can make the difference between making 10k or 100k in the long run.

The optimization of a node makes a difference in the contracts you will have access to. Managing a node will be easy, optimize it to obtain a high level reputation in order to earn actual money is harder than it seems.

My contribution to the ICO failed due to low gas and I didn’t realise until after the close. Rookie mistake and unironically my greatest regret in crypto. I’ll try to buy my way in somehow.

>> No.11526664

PSA: there's nothing stopping other groups from forming LINK pools after mainnet launches.
the only thing the first LINK pool will have going for it is a high reputation rating.
but if it manages to run a more expensive service, others will gladly capitulate.

IT's a bet on a bet, but you have every right to feel comfy as fuck.

If Chainlink works you'll be halfway there. I have faith that Johny and Mat will be busting ass to get LINKPOOL into the highest value contracts they possibly can. If LINK gets up past a trillion dollar valuation (which should be easy as fuck if works) you're gonna be set for life.

Kinda pissed that they made the dex because I didn't want the chance to sell my shares. I liked the idea of not having the temptation there.

Oh yeah to good luck to all you guys who plan on running a node but haven't started building yet.

Pretty low. Johnny is visible, communicates with the link team, is very active developing, and seems to be very professional. I had fears of the risk of exit scamming and didn't invest for that reason (and I didn't want to risk my money as a burger either).

I'm convinced that it's legit. I will still be running my own node though just because It's more money

You can't compare BTC/ETH pools with ChainLink pools, with linkpool they provide the hardware, uptime, and optimizations, apis, you just have to provide the LINKs, with BTC/ETH pools you have to buy the hardware yourself
Not saying 25% is fair, but it's there for a reason

Well, somebody sold 10k BTC for a pizza. I think that's about the stage we're in with linkpool/chainlink. It could be that LINKPOOL will handle billions of transactions per day, or NEET nodes could dominate. Nobody fucking knows.

yeh considering that they're gonna have the most collateral on the network and they'll probably be picked by everyone on the network for at least one node cause they know they can do it and will put whatever forward
with that picture of jonny having a 1 on 1 with sergey I can only imagine they talked about how nodes are going to be ran, what data and what they can do etc
