This is your Bitcoin CASH Daily thread.

I am your friendly host, the autistic bitcoin casher.

Dear /biz. When you read this thread. Consider how the two sides interact with you. Which side appreciates and supports your intellect? Which side supports you doing your own research, and thinking about economic fundamentals? Which side talks out of the ass and throws around insults?

I hope these questions help you see beyond the veil.

Let's try and read a little history. See for yourself if I am a raging idiot conspiracy nut or an autistic savant who saw through the psyop.

Key insight on why the LN is a hijack of the network.

>Satoshi on Scaling

Satoshi tells Mike Hearn "The existing visa network processes about 15 million Internet purchases a day worldwide. Bitcoin can already scale much larger than that with existing hardware for a fraction of the cost. It never really hits a scale ceiling... By Moore's Law, we can expect hardware speed to be 10 times faster in 5 years and 100 times faster in 10. Even If Bitcoin grows at crazy adoption rates, I think computer speeds will stay ahead of the number of transactions."

Satoshi also mentions that "The fee the market would settle on should be minimal".

Let's debunk some arguments.

>Big Blocks cannot scale.
https://medium.com/@thecryptoconomy/7-misunderstandings-of-bitcoins-scaling-problem-c5142e938a68

1 • What size block solves high fees?
core says
>A 10MB blocksize today would barely graze the real scaling problem, but in 3 short years would have us securing a blockchain nearly 2TB in size and growing at a far faster rate.

Don't worry. Bitcoin Cash is going for unlimited blocksize and storage is super cheap (especially for enterprising miners).

>>11503372

2 • Is there any way to safely get 1000x capacity?
core says
>If we can get 1000x the capacity right now ..., without any consensus breaking blocksize increase, then there is hope that a decentralized currency AND payment system is possible on a single... chain.

Essentially the argument here is that hard forks are "consensus breaking" and that they are not "safe".

Bitcoin Cash (and Satoshi) disagrees.

>>11503372
3 • Are Lightning/Sidechains just another trade off?

Pretty much. Watch and consider >>11503192

4 • Is the Bitcoin blockchain really a better payment network?

Yes. Until Core destroyed its utility. Pic related.

11503510

5 • Bitcoin’s resilience is dependent upon the distribution of validators.

This is the best and most important argument for small blockers.

They believe that having a decentralized mining distribution helps protect the network.

This is wrong for two reasons.

Reason 1 (less important) is this. ASICs are unavoidable because technology and how POW operates. Mining is a capital intensive operation. This is desirable for security reasons. This means that mining will ALWAYS trend towards centralization.

11503587

>>11503372

Reason 2. Non-mining nodes do nothing to secure the network. They can "invalidate" incoming transactions, but because they are not mining, their invalidation means nothing to mining nodes.

In practice, especially as Bitcoin is young and the community small, it's possible for miners to choose what is "democratically" chosen over what makes sense "economically",

The core concept of UASF was NOT that non-mining nodes "saved" the network, but that enough users "voted" the miners to accept the core version of "consensus."

These methods go against the economic incentives of Bitcoin (miners choose to mine the most profitable chain) and is not a sustainable solution.

6 • Is large block latency and resource cost really negligible?

Yes, for institutional miners. As we saw in points 1,2, 5, and pic related. We don't need non-mining nodes. We need massively capital intensive miners running server farms to provide massive security to global sound money.
7 • How will scaling affect Bitcoin privacy?
>core thinks LN is better for privacy then BCH.
>pic related

Read the whole infographic, but simply put is this:

>LN channels are money transmitters and will be subject to KYC/AML procedures.

This is not the case for on-chain transactions.

At 1 GB blocks bitcon can handle 605 Million transactions a day, with 7.7 Billion people alive today this means every person can make only 1 transaction every 12.72 days - and we have already seen that BCH shits itself at blocks bigger than 16MB.

At 1GB the chain grows ~38000GB / year. It would be impossible to run and sync your onlineshops node on that.

It's literally that easy to see that it doesn't work and it only takes 2 minutes to calculate.

Hi there anon! Thanks for an actually thought out reply. Allow me to respond.

>we have already seen that BCH shits itself at blocks bigger than 16MB.

This is actually a great reason to remove the limit. The blocksize limits actually stagnate miner competition. That is the only reason why there are still big mining pools that cannot handle large blocks. They will be swiftly pushed out by competition.

You can buy 1TB SSDs for less than $150 TODAY. Please consider >>11503372

If we recognize that SPVs are totally safe and that non-mining full nodes are useless, why would enterprise miners not be able to afford 50TB storage space in say, two years from now?

Bitcoin Cash is available for people who can not afford high fees.

Pic related. It's Venezuela.

you are not correct. with 5G, FIber and soon even faster transfer this is all not an issue.

running a global money system on our current network doesn't work, indeed, but do you really think that we wont start making better networks? you really can't see this happening?

I'll tell you this.

The real added value that Bitcoin and Pow mining "sound" internet money willl bring is technologic advancement you have never seen.

Once Bitcoin ( BCH ) reaches 50k every country will start specialized datacenters and research centers to develop the best chips and best tech to mine and keep up this ever growing hashrate. Proof of stake networks will not bring this advancement. Hence the countries that have the mining operations will do the new discoveries and will be the big powers of the future.

You r really really small and narrow minded bro.
I guess that's how you like it, small, small blocks small mind.

i doubt you are smarter than your compsci teacher.

1gb is just the max size of the block and just like Visa/Mastercard BCH would have high and low periods of usage resulting in variable block sizes;
bch network shit the bed @16mb blocks mostly because of block propagation latency

What's actually true is that some miners are just much better at mining bigger blocks then others.
