What if a business has data about some market (shipping, mining, retail or whatever), they sell this data to another business (e.g. a hedgefund), the integration between the two businesses is managed by the company you linked. The three companies sign a contract and the middleware guys figure out the tech to get the data from A to B. It's pretty normal business practice.
