your real job is to use your mcjob to hit your own financial goals

if daddy doesnt have money you have to go it it yourself

it sucks fucking balls and you will eat shit for a few years, but if you play the long game, if you use your boss just like he uses you, if you focus on your goal and make progress toward it as often as possible, you will find a happy life

but gambling it away on crypto is not the way to do it -- you can make more money more consistently trading real stocks, and you can do it a lot faster

stay strong anons

i used to be almost 300 lbs, not a penny to my name, no girls, no friends, no life. i'm about to break 170, i have more money in the bank than most people in this country and i've fucked some bad bitches.

A lot.
It's a small enterprise, offering instalaltion and maintenance for photovoltaic generators (both domestic and industrial)
At the moment it's me, two technicians, my two bosses and some poor girl who is emmployed until near-slavery conditions to sell a vaguely related product to keep pigeons away from the modules and gets paid a pittance for each piece sold.
The two bosses are always absent or working on some other of their billion projects, they are serious workaholics who get up at 06:00 to do a million things before they go to bed at 01:00 and do it all over again the next day.
This leads to them trying to push all responsibilities on me without giving me proper training or background information. This also leads to them not listening to me when I explain them some situations and why I can or can't take care of them, or why I need them to pay additional attention or at least give me a solid basis.
One of them is also quite dishonest with their clients and their suppliers both. He's always looking for ways to cheat everyone out of anywhere from a couple hundreds to a couple grands of sh€kels.
This applies to us employees too. Unpaid overtime is a routine.

Cont.

All of this would not even be so bad, but I'm only employed 24 hours a week. 4 hours every morning and 2 2-hour afternoons because they were afraid I would find another job in my free time. (meaning no more overtime and no more being available on Whatsapp at every hour of the day) I think all the responsibilities they push on me would merit at least a 40 hours contract so I had actual time to deal with their bullshit
I am also as of now employed with a fixed-date contract. The woman employed before me was told that she wouldn't come to work anymore 4 days before her contract ended, and they forced her to take paid leave for those days so I could take her place asap.
As >>11492394 said, fuck'em. Assholes who want to fuck over everyone for pennies. I'm there only for as long as it suits me, and already thinking of starting my own business next year.

>tfw have fucking €250 a month disposable after all utilities/rent/food
I do like my job a lot, tending crops is one of my passions, but for the working hours (legit 6:30am-6:30pm six days a week) and the very hard physical labour, there's gotta be a better way to save up enough to get my own land in the future

I rub the Operations/marketing of a e-commerce site for a greedy family run clothing business, I make shit pay even though I’m their biggest asset, while they pay themselves twice as much. Also this generation inherited the business they’ve been driving it into the ground. Currently looking for new work but I’m finding it hard, might need to stack shelves for a while.

I love my job. Mfg Engineer. Have daily, weekly, monthly, yearly challenges. Get paid well, well respected. Not in charge of anyone (thank fucking god, operators are dumb). Sub five min commute.Even with all of that I don't plan on working for someone else for much longer. 35 now, will have my on bis within the next year. Old boy was right, exploit your PB&J job long enough to make your own!

This is one of the better jobs I have had, but the only reason picked up i.t as a career was to help my family with money and have been doing it since high-school since I was too poor to go to university. I have a sibling who is special needs and my mother died in July. I emailed my dad about it and his only response was "ok." I have no other family and I have no choice but to keep working and am too mentally drained to do anything else. I absolutely despise every second of it and I hate every single person I speak to at work, even people who are kind to me. If my link / xmr / btc stack doesn't at least give me enough return to take a gap year in the next year I feel that I will snap very soon. My days are filled with bitterness and bile and nothing else.

I hear that's one of the harshest engineering tasks with not comparative reward increase.

I'm a data scientist at a large media company, and this is my life basically. I automated fucking everything, from email reports and social media stuff to performance metrics. Everything is neatly organized on dashboards, if somebody needs something I just change the filters(or tell them to do it themself because I'm "busy"). The only problem is that I'm bored as fuck and browsing the good old 'chan is not really healthy to say the least.

You guys should have a stupid questions general thread like they have it in /g/.

Anyway: My question is...

What are great books on sales and being a salesperson??? Fundamentals, techniques, examples, anedoctes, stories, etc...

Don't give me scamming books with outstanding sensationalist titles like "Become a millionaire with sales in 5 hours!" From my experience learning any skill is boring, like reading a textbook and it's not something popular or that people find enjoyable doing. For example, people love listening to music, but usually find really tiresome to read music theory. I also don't care if the author says things normies might find psychopathic and manipulative as long as it works for selling.

>software engineer
>startup
>cool office, great pay, have more money than anyone else I know from college
>4 months into the job, starting to feel like just another job
>coworkers mostly pretty smart, and easy to work with
>except a few fucking RETARDED guys who make life harder for the rest of us
>have no business even working here, were probably hired by meddling middle-managers who got bored and wanted to be part of the hiring process

There's just enough frustrating shit that could easily be avoided, like hiring retard-tier guys who slow the rest of us down, that stops me from really enjoying the job.

Also I recently starting paying for a parking spot($250/month) instead of taking the train($90/month), and it cut my commute from an hour to 25 minutes. Best decision I've ever made.

>That means I'm not very good at engineering
>Draw ducts and pipes in Revit and decide how big the cold air boxes need to be
>Get paid $28.50/hr and usually work more than 40 hours per week. I get paid for overtime.

Some of my coworkers are constantly stressed out about their jobs but to me it's pretty easy and chill. It's a good job, as far as jobs go, but still if I tripped and fell on a million dollars today, I wouldn't show up tomorrow.

hard work is never enough, they always want more, and when you work harder, they set that as the new norm.

Got fired last night while I was asleep. I got paid to sleep and play on my computer for 3-4 hours each night/morning from 1-4am or 4-7am, etc.. Menial desk job with racist gay boss and his puppet "supervisors" pushing fake smiles and kiddie playtime bullshit.

I've got about 17 places within the area to start hitting up here this week.

If you're good at your job, here's what you do:
>start putting out your resume and interviewing on the down-low
>get an offer for a better job
>go to management, tell them you want to negotiate for more pay and a better work-life balance
>aka less grinding and more management work
>if they say no just take the better job

tl;dr literally every company is hiring, you have more options than your shit tier slave job

Cashier, it isn't that bad. Saving up for community college although I don't know what to pursue. I'm a seasonal NEET and I hate having a fixed schedule. Perhaps Uber or Doordash might be perfect for me, although I've heard they don't make shit. But minimum wage is fine by me as long as I'm happy
