1) buy a $60k car that is 50% deductible; $900 monthly payments over 5 years

vs

2) lease a $90k car that is 90% deductible; $900 monthly payments over 5 years

Which will cost more money?

If you pay the same each month, for both, then the one which would allow you to pay less tax would be the cheapest?

If you are going to tell us that you have tax deductions, you need to tell us your tax bracket so we can solve this for you.

The 90k one is electric.
Its deductibility is massive for businesses.

>>11481603
Absolutely.

>>11481806
In my country, tax is about 45-55% on taxable income within my tax bracket.
Just assume about half goes to Mr. Tax Man.

Hence my obsession with deductibility.

That's what I was thinking.

But these accountants keep changing the numbers game, so I don't know exactly how the benefits would compound.

You will never make it.

A smart anon does:
1) Buy cheap 1000$ car that you dont give a shit about. This is your work car + mundane shit.
2) Buy an expensive car that is 5 years old (has lived through the price reduction of 30-50%) which you like an care about. Drive to meetings and bring up bitches. Initial cost 10000 - 40000$.

If you lease a car or buy a new car you are a moron and deserve to not "Make it".

Why?

I really laugh at those NPCs who whine about having a leased car and then they have to pay for "Forced" maintenance which is like 400$ per year. Bitch i spend only 100$ per year for maintenance and i get a better job because i have a friend who builds his own cars.

I could also trainwreck my 1000$ car and i wouldnt give a shit. I would just buy another 1000$ car and continue the cycle. The average cost is lower than leased cars + its fun to work on your own cars. If you are a wagie ragie who works 9 to 5 from Monday to Friday you aint gonna make it anyways.

because cars are just wasted money, and even if you're saving a few hundred bucks on the piece of shit you'll be paying it back on the 20k car

better off just getting a better low end car or a medium range car for 6-10 that doesn't look great or shit but runs well and, this is the most important part people forget about when buying a car, is a make that is easily serviceable
the reason mercs and bmws are so expense to service is because the manufactors have a monopoly on servicing it, if you get a car that most mechanics can service you'll save a huge amount

So I just did the math;
Let me use hypothetical sums:

Montly sum = 1,000
Total paid after 60 months (5 years) = 60,000

85% deductible = 51,000 will not be taxed.
Assuming tax is 50%, that means 25,500 in taxes will not have to be paid.

15% non deductible = 9,000 will be taxed.
Assuming tax is 50%, that means 4,500 in taxes will have to be paid.

TOTAL PAID SO FAR:
60,000 + 4,500 = 64,500.

Assuming the car is sold after 5 years for 30,000.

TOTAL PAID SO FAR:
64,500 - 30,000 = 34,500.

GRAND TOTAL COST COMPARED TO NOT BUYING THE CAR AT ALL (and just paying taxes instead):
34,500 - 25,500 = 9,000

Is this anywhere near accurate?

That's why. To each his own though.
