No.
Crypto is useless and you only waste money.

>> No.11472143

get a 10$ pen drive and encrypt it instead
save some pennies and buy more coins instead

NO!

It costs more than the shitcoins that you'll put in it.

This anon wants you keeping your precious Bitcoins on an exchange.
Get an offline wallet, when the event happens, your BTCwill be safe from them.

>> No.11472183

>>11472120
A hot wallet stored on stripped down debian would probably be almost just as safe. The problem with the nano is you have no way of getting the private keys so if someone takes your nano you have no way of getting your crypto back

>> No.11472188

>>11472163
You realize the bitcoin protocol gives you the tools you need to have an offline wallet, you don't need to give another company $50 in order to store your crypto safely.

fucking brainlet lmao.

Today I sold all my BTC it was a quick decision, in a moment I woke up like from a dream and I realized the painful truth.
I said to myself : $6550 for 1 btc!
BTC is nothing it's dust even it's original price of 0,003 is too high, it has zero value.
Better sell everything, it will go to zero soon and $6000 is a lot of money. STOP dreaming about 20000ATH it will never happen again.
Wake up! No one is working on bitcoin, there is no new projects, no new technology, nothing it's all hype and the moment you wake up like I did btc might be $0, it might be too late.

You mean, paper wallet or what?

>> No.11472202

>>11472196
That's one option. You can store your crypto in paper until the moment you need to spend it, then just import it into a normal wallet.

Alternatively, you can create a cold wallet on a clean laptop or PC that you never connect to the internet, and use that to sign transactions. Then you can send without ever exposing your private key to the internet.

>>11472183
That's why you safely store your backup words somewhere.

>> No.11472214

>>11472202
From there you can make a view-only to see your balance on your hot PC or just keep a separate hot wallet

Could you please explain a little more.

>> No.11472276

1. Get a PC or laptop from 2002
2. Wipe it, erase empty space, Install Ubuntu on it and don't connect it to the internet
3. Install Bitcoin - and if you're really a cool kid - Monero GUIs on it and make brand new wallets.
4. Back up your keys on paper.
5. Go to the GUI and find the "create view only wallet"
6. Take this file to your main PC and import it into the GUI as you would a regular wallet, sync it up. You can now view your balance without your wallet actually connecting to the internet.

You can sign transactions in the wallet on your cold storage PC and move the tx file back over via a USB drive.

You can also use this method to generate a seed and address, send to that address, then destroy everything so you have a paper wallet without using an actual paper wallet generator.

I only mention this because I don't know how secure the standard paper wallet generator is compared to the main wallets.

Also, anything you do through a web browser has a chance to be compromised, so I always use this method.

>You can now view your balance without your wallet actually connecting to the internet.
I said this because I mostly use monero. Bigger point is that you can receive money/generate addresses without needing your private key

>> No.11472304

I bought a ledger blue amazing fancy thing. But its about the same amount of value in btc as its price that i got secured on it. Value changed since the last pricedrop of btc. Kek. Atleast its secure

>> No.11472312

>>11472120
actually yes. its pretty useful. i would never transact without one on a windows machine, and since i got my ledger i would never transact without one on a mac either

i don't even plug unknown usb sticks into my machines anymore thats how paranoid i am about security. hardware wallets are good stuff.

>> No.11472335

The appeal of the ledger is that transactions get signed on it instead of the computer. Your private key never leaves the ledger.

or
