When I see the Pepes of Linkies contorting into smiles, frowns, and grimaces, I shiver beyond my own control in bewilderment, amusement, and confusion. Why would one choose to record for eternity their contribution to an idiotic fan-fiction about a smart contract platform that will never be of any practical value? Is it ego? Pride? Stupidity? Or is it on a deeper level a desperate cry for meaning in man’s seemingly futile pursuit for life’s purpose? Are the people making these link threads self aware? Or do they simply have no consciousness, no Jiminy Cricket on their shoulder per se, filtering their thoughts and differentiating the good and the bad. Maybe it’s myself with the problem.
