can anybody explain to me why I get 30% CAGR from QQQ and SPY when contributing $1000 a month adjusted for inflation over-time? Can this possibly have been true if you consistently add principal?

The CAGR without additional contributions beyond a $10k outlay in 2002 is 9.33% which is about what people say the market gets, is the additional principal consistently even though recessions really worth THAT much? 20% annually even though recent principals were obviously only recently added?

Opportunity cost is important but most people in this thread will exit a losing trading and get right into another losing trade.
