I don't know which is worse getting into bitcoin late or shit like that. Fuck me.

Not stupid at all, he's likely very rich. Without this transaction, BTC and all of crypto would be nowhere close to where it is today. First redemption of magic internet money for real-world products is very important.

Since he was that heavily into crypto that early there is literally no way he isnt at least a millionaire.

I remember when people were practically giving them away because they were only worth a couple of cents and I stayed away from mining them, as I would only get around 100 a day..

I was late to the mining game, ASICs already existed when I first looked into it. Shit like this makes me wanna kill myself. This is even worse:

>The first bitcoin faucet was called The Bitcoin Faucet and was developed by Gavin Andresen in 2010.[1] It originally gave out 5 bitcoins per person.

Jesus, I remember faucets that gave out whole bitcoins and people were like 'what's the point?'.
You would be surprised how early the people I knew who held onto them sold too.

This. The majority of people sold, the people who made out like bandits owned such large amounts of bitcoin that selling 10% for a quick million even at 2013 $1k ATH didnt really detract from them becoming super rich. Most sold, spent, or lost them from back them 2010 or so.

Bitcoin didnt originally come with password encryption so viruses took tons of wallets, and back then PCs didnt really have any built in backup system for files. Tons of old hard drives just crashed and that was it.

Well it was the spirit of BTC. Now its just "muh store of value" and digital gold ponzi.

Unless you are taking about the real Bitcoin - BCH.

the publicity bitcoin got due to the '10k pizza order', and the publicity he received that he can choose to use or not in his business/personal relations was very likely worth it
