is he right? wtf. will "institutions" actually just turn this whole thing into derivatives instead of actually buying the coins?

He's right. Institutions will hold some stockpiles, which will spike the price at first, but then the trading of derivatives will tame it to stock market type gains, which has already happened to BTC since the futures market opened up. That doesn't mean that some cryptos won't moon anymore than stocks like Amazon, Apple, and Tesla haven't mooned... but the process will be much fucking slower--like 20% gains per year instead of per month for coins that get sucked into the derivative market. The days of turning $500 into $1m via a couple of years of mining, smart investments, and swing trading are over. You'll have to make your money on the same derivatives, now.

the only way that futures "tamed" bitcoin is by putting the fud in the noosphere that futures and derivatives are magical voodoo finance that can make everything go to zero.

there are still only 21 million btc ever to be produced, the last 4 million of which are being feverishly competed for - the hashrate is growing in 2018 at an even faster rate than in q4 2017.

we made it to 20k without muh institutions. and we will make it to the 100s in spite of them. and you dumb assholes who unironcially believed the futures fud will miss their last best chance to accumulate 21 btc.

>>11334453
its not that it will "go to zero" faggot. obviously it wont do that. Its the fact that derivatives will kill volatility and turn crypto into a boomer stock market.
