in what universe is bitcoin the current global reserve currency?

>> No.11315179

>>11314764
it won't.
usd:
>secured by the entire US army, cash works without electricity
bitcoin:
>secured by mining chips, majority of hashpower controlled by chinese

usd is the last global reserve currency.
Everything will become tokenized, so rather than keeping some currency people will store wealth in a basket of tokens representing everything.
Only cryptos that are required to pay fees for smart contracts have any long-term future. They will be big just because everyone will have to own some.

>Fungible
bitcoin is way less fungible than physical cash, there's no public blockchain with history of that particular banknote. Same goes for physical gold.
Bitcoin should be low here.
>non-consumable
that's a negative and not a trait of money. A concentrated and small energy source would be an ideal form of money.
>Durable
>bitcoin: high
bitcoin can't survive a world war, it's less durable than physical cash.
>highly divisible
fiat divisions are easily added when they are needed. Gold should be low, fiat high, bitcoin medium - because it's impossible to trade in subsatoshis on-chain.
>secure
gold is high, bitcoin is moderate at best. Any medium-sized state could easily 51% attack bitcoin.
>easily transactable
bitcoin is medium-low, low scalability.
>decentralized
how is gold centralized. It's an element. Gold is high, fiat is low, bitcoin is moderate.
>smart
bitcoin is medium at best.

>> No.11317619

>>11316840
those are not the reasons why btc can't be world reserve currency at all.

>usd is secured by the entire US army
Is that the entire US army that got fucked in the arse by girls in wok hats, and is still losing men hand over fist trying to pacify the farmers of Afghanistan nearly 20 years later? THAT US army?
