The wording could be consistent with them describing their own Chainlink node, but I get this distinct feeling that they're bullshitting and they just trademarked a dumb variant of the name and associated it with smart contracts to ride the Chainlink hype wave without actually involving Chainlink.

The first "chain-link" in my pic is the very first mention of "chain-link" in that entire white paper.
So the fact that they're referring to it as "A chain-link" and "THE chain-link" might indicate that they're actually using the real Chainlink.

But honestly I have no idea.

I'll admit... I was an owner of "chainlink" from the ICO, a few others and myself got together for the soul purpose of pumping this "token" and running a shill campaign all over 4chan's /biz/ board. Needless to say it worked better than we thought and we have all sold and retired from what you call "wagecucking" (being a healthy citizen to society). It's sad how many of you still hold onto hope for this "token". Today has ended the date of our NDA within our agreement so I can come clean. Please just sell and save yourself some money, there are much better uses like investing into a house. I live in San Francisco and there are plenty of great opportunities around. This is a dead project selling false promises, did you ever think it would be that easy.
