Is travelling worth it?

I have some money on the side and I am deciding whether go travel or just invest every last penny I have.

Keep in mind I would be traveling either alone or with a girl I could fuck but I’d have to pay for her traveling costs or with my little sister.

>> No.11269725

do you value life experiences? experiencing different cultures, cuisines, customs etc? seeing amazing places and monuments and natural beauty? then yes travel is worth it

are you a basement dweller scared to leave the house? the answer is an even stronger yes

It’s worth it, see new things and get different perspectives. Depends on where you go also, I feel traveling just to see major cities is a waste of money. Go see mountains, nature, wonders of the world etc.

Anton Kriel makes a good point that until you have the absolute (financial) freedom to do so, you aren't really travelling, more just holidaying

Traveling is a meme to cope with living in a shit area. This might mean taking a paycut, but not always. Find a nice place and make friends there. It will be 100X more rewarding than paying Mr. Nosenstein $2000 to sleep at a basic hotel for a week & not even having time to relax because your stay is so short.

It could give you some temporary relief, since at first your brain will be very occupied trying to figure out the layout, food, and accommodation in a place. But after some time the rut could set in again after your brain gets used to a place, could be as little as a week or two. It's better than nothing but I don't think it's a cure.

It's a form of escapism.
Basically a socially acceptable taste of NEETdom for normies.
Brings worthwhile memories, but after the dust settles, you feel emptier and more unhappy than before.
Also it does not answer any existential questions you might have.

I fucking hate it.
Get to hip city, hustle into airbnb apartment, boring, go outside, boring after a while. Next city, go into hotel, awkward.

Truth is, if you chad around socially at home you also wont do it while travelling. That being said, I haven't been to thailand or these places yet.

traveling kind of sucks because it's expensive and you can't really experience anything in a week.

Get a job in a country you want to go to for a year and then travel every break and weekend. Teaching English is a very good option, as are working holiday visas, which many countries offer. Employers are generally impressed by it even if it's an entirely unrelated field. You can actually meet local people and experience living in another country which is a great experience you'll remember forever.

This guy knows what's up.
However teaching is way harder than it looks, you will be absolutely shattered after planning lessons and dealing with coworkers and other teachers and have no energy to travel anywhere on the weekend.
Do it part time if you can

>> No.11272767

>>11272695
true, but it depends on the country and the type of contract you have. the official french program for example was only 12 hours a week and you're only ever teaching small groups of students not a whole class, and I think the spanish one is similar. of course china or korea may work you to the bone so you have to be careful with regards to those.

I have and I hated it. It's hours/days of discomfort with the airplanes and arranging transport to places when you get to the place. You go and you look at the thing and you say huh yes that's the thing it looks like the picture of the thing and then you go home and you wonder why you spent a thousand dollars or more to sleep in a hotel and look at the thing.

>> No.11273279

>>11269710

No. Literally take your money and set fire to it = a better investment. The whole world is just shitty humans living in various boxes. That's it. There's nothing to see except variations on that theme - it's just bad all over. You can go see some niggers begging around Europe, some niggers begging in the US, maybe travel to Africa or South America and see - wait for it - more niggers begging. Or travel to Asia, see riceniggers begging just for a change. There's no reason to travel.
